Hotel Finca Lerida

The property is beautifully located on a coffee farm. The rooms are nice and bright. The restaurant is beautiful with outdoor seating with views of the mountain tops. The weather is prefect and you do not need an air conditioner. The staff were wonderful especially Luis.

Nice amenities and staff, however is expensive for academic groups. The should offer better deals.

Absolutely wonderful place to visit and stay. Great staff and even better restaurant with the freshest ingredients for all of their food including fresh squeezed juices. We stayed in the founders house which was built in 1920. Specious and although not modern we had everything we needed. Property is very nicely landscaped and as well. Also very close to the Pipeline trail. Can't recommend it highly enough!

We stayed in the 3-bedroom cottage near the coffee drying platforms and drying machines. They were loud the first night, but the staff responded quickly to my complaint. They were absolutely excellent. They started a roaring fire in our fireplace each night and kept us well supplied with filtered water. The grounds are beautiful and our coffee tour guide Cesar was the best! the national park and pristine rain forest are right up the hill. The restaurant was great for both dinner and breakfast. Roosevelt was an excellent waiter.

I should be giving it an excellent as it is a delightful place but the food was so bad that really dragged it down. Lunch was inedible, dinner a bit better, just very dull but enlivened by a bottle of good and reasonably priced Prosecco. Even the coffee was dreadful - on a coffee farm! The breakfast food was better than the other meals but a choice of either juice or coffee seems very cheese paring. The staff in the restaurant were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a terrace looking into the vibrant gardens. We had an excellent birding walk with a guide on the premises.

Best place in Panama. We drove from Panama City eight hours but worth it We loved the national park feel hiked the trails (even to the waterfall) had great food and the best coffee, Ask Roosevelt in the dining room how he got his name. Don’t miss this place

There is a mixologist Jorge here, that is someone that is truly talented!!
He challenges you to challenge him. Tell him what flavors you like, and he creates the drink!

Roosevelt, the waiter is a great host! Engaging with guests, helpful and friendly.

Try and find fault with this place, I dare you! It’s heaven on earth!

Arriving at night during rainfall, it was difficult to find the reception. We eventually did, but the receptionist wasn’t there at the moment. Once we found her she was very kind and helpful. Food at the restaurant is wonderful. Couldn’t figure out how to operate the TV. As part of the location, it’s very naturally beautiful; however, the fog and rain made it more difficult to enjoy. We would be willing to try staying here (during dry season).

This place is stunning, there are a number of walks, including through the coffee farm, around the property and you are provided with a map of gear when you check in. The room I had was very comfortable and spacious, with the highlight a hammock out front where you can enjoy the garden and view outside the rooms. The wifi was fantastic and available throughout a lot of the property. The restaurant is a short walk downhill from the rooms, which has a good selection of dishes to choose from and the food is dry good.

2023 - A peaceful stay with a breathtaking view straight out of an enchanted movie. The cabins are warm and welcoming, simply spectacular, the hiking trail is a must do and the coffee is delicious, even purchased a few to take home. Plan on returning very soon.

I chose Finca Lerida as part of solo travel trip and it didn't disappoint! Room was clean and a good size. Mine had fireplace & hot tube inside! Restaurant food delicious, service excellent! Drink coffee as is-no milk or sugar. I will return!

Nice surroundings, very green and breezy but Unsteady wifi and tv connection , bad quality soap we had to buy one to take a shower, the hair dryer was broken and the staff said they don’t have any backup unit available, limited restaurant menu and closes at 9pm. In average- value for money is negative.

The property grounds and surroundings are just beautiful. The rooms felt humid and stuffy. The bed’s upholstered headboard smelled terrible and my husband that is highly allergic had a hard time sleeping.
Breakfast is included and that was very good.

Great team and great location! Definitely a must see and must stay during a visit to Panama. Coffee lovers will be delighted.

We had lunch at the finca on the patio of their restaurant. What a delightful place. But it was all about the food for us! We tried several of their appetizers as a kind of self made 'tapas' ... everything was excellent, we were so impressed. We had a soup and a wonderful concoction of clams and chorizo which was superb and some mini tacos ... So delicious! We will be back as soon as we return to Boquete.

Excellent area

The best part of this hotel is the bird tour and the coffee tour given by Cesar Caballero. It's a beautiful coffee plantation but has changed hands multiple times. But Cesar's father gave bird tours and his mother picked coffee there. His grandfather lived there too.
He is an incredible expert on both birds and coffee and both tours were fun and interesting.
On the coffee tour we started by looking at the plants of Geisha and Catuai coffee beans and then went through the processing by drying, sorting and bagging, followed by a coffee tasting.
On the bird tour, we walked the beautiful grounds and he's so good about spotting so many different kinds of birds. Hummingbirds are territorial. We watched another bird feed a baby bird, Great photos on both!
The hotel has a beautiful setting and the staff is very nice but they are still trying to get their footing as a hotel. We tried to reserve the tour by email and never got a response. Over and over and over again. Our toilet kept running and we couldn't get anyone to fix it!!! Try to avoid Room #5 or ask i f the toilet runs constantly.
On the restaurant: The smoked tomato soup and local grilled cheese are very good and the setting is nice.
But again, we most valued our time with Cesar who has such an extraordinary amount of knowledge and such an interesting personal story.

Unfortunately, the male server with short hair and glasses made things super awkward. Ticket name for server is Luz Urriola.

I clearly ordered a veggie burger for my bf
(who does not eat meat) so I’m positive I said veggie. The rest of my party all heard veggie. Except the server. He brought out a regular meat patty burger.
It would have been okay, everyone makes mistakes. He could have just apologized and switched the order. No biggy.

But instead, he got upset and began to blame us for “not ordering the right way”.
He stated that we did not say veggie burger and then proceeded to give us an English and pronunciation lesson. He said that next time we need to say “VEGGGIIIEEEE” burger.
My bf and the rest of the table all let him know that I clearly said veggie burger.
Totally weirded us out and ruined the mood of our lunch experience. I’m sorry he misheard but why make things worse by scolding the client that traveled from so far away to come dine here? Extremely unprofessional!!! : (
Especially when it was your own fault.

Furthermore, the mis- order was taken back (but not without a fight) and a quickly cooked, uncooked veggie burger came out. The patty was awful… it was a paste patty 🤢

Pity because the view was nice at least.
