The room was advertised as deluxe but the furniture was dated and disappointing..
Pros:

The breakfast was very nice.

Cons:

The hot water supply in the wash hand basin was very poor. We could only get a trickle of hot water out of the tap. The towel rail was completely cold. The room needed warming up in the evening and before breakfast. The radiators were completely cold.

It had some good points as stated , but overall I was disappointed.
Pros:

Good parking, Room was clean, bed was comfortable & good breakfast.

Cons:

Big room filled with strange selection of furniture, not suited to the room.
No wardrobe in a room easily big enough for one.

Smallest TV I’ve seen in a hotel in years with extremely poor signal making it unable to be watched.
Ended up watching Netflix on my laptop instead.

Was asked whether I’d like an evening meal in a phone call before arrival yet given no idea of the menu .
On arrival , informed that menu was not available until 6 pm.
Given that I work in commercial kitchens daily & know many chefs, I found it highly unusual to not have a menu decided until 6pm.

Opened the window to get fresh air in room, only to get cooking smells from outlet of kitchen extraction.
So swiftly closed the window again.

Tea & coffee & small kettle in a bread bin rather than a tray.

So disappointing - a quaint and pretty hotel that would have been perfect if the facilities worked.
Pros:

Check in was smooth with easy access to the NEC - well-presented house, lovely dining room and well-presented room

Cons:

Where to begin!
Dirty water coming from the sink
Hardly any water trickling from the shower, and not hot meant no shower possible (electric shower and yes it was on!)
Buffering wi-fi
TV is not able to show a programme or a picture
Had a confirmation email saying the room would be a double - it wasn't, it was a twin
Menu limited in my view
No milk in the room - a note saying go back to reception if you wanted milk to make tea on arrival - surely reception staff should offer or ask if milk is required rather than have to make an additional trip to reception.
I have photos and videos to share, but the software won't accept them.

Enjoyable stay
Pros:

Staff were super friendly and the hotel was very nice and old style. Breakfast was great with a great selection also.

Cons:

Room at the top of the house was too hot, had to open teh window a few times. The mattress was lop-sided as only one side of it (the side not under the roof) is being used so didn't sleep very well. The evening meal wasn't great. Despite this, i would stay there again though (in a different room).

Excellent value and an all round well run Country House Hotel👍
Pros:

Food was excellent, Cleanliness was excellent, Staff were very presentable, Helpful and Freindly

Cons:

No Hooks on the INSIDE OF THE BATHROOM, for some reason they were only on the outside of the door so nowhere to hang a towel etc.

Pros:

Everything. Especially the warm welcome, the cheerful staff who could not have been more solicitous. The dinner and breakfast were both absolutely delicious.

Cons:

Nothing serious. The floors creak (it's an old building!).

Pros:

Lovely quaint hotel. Staff very helpful. Beautiful gardens. Had room service in the evening as I had the dogs with me & although it was a long wait, the food arrived piping hot.

Cons:

The shower didn't work properly. A cold shower at 5am is no fun!

Would definitely stay there again in a different room.
Pros:

It’s a beautiful boutique hotel. Breakfast & staff were exceptional.

Cons:

Even though the radiator was on - it was still a bit chilly in my room & the fan heater & replacement didn’t work. I didn’t like that the toilet had no door.
