Breakfast buffet was extensive, however very much geared to Asian guests. The Lobby lounge provided a limited menu in the evening if you didn’t want to go to the dinner buffet.

Great hotel

I stayed two nights at Hotel Nikko Saigon and found it to be an excellent choice for travelers who value comfort and calm over being in the middle of the tourist bustle. The hotel is set back from the road in a quieter area, which makes for a peaceful stay, though it does mean using taxis to reach most of District 1 sights.

The room was large, modern, and very well appointed, with a comfortable bed and a thoughtful layout that made it easy to relax. The bathroom was equally impressive, with quality fixtures and plenty of space.

Breakfast was outstanding—easily one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in Vietnam. The variety and quality were excellent, and the lobster dinner buffet was a standout experience, both generous and beautifully presented.

I also enjoyed a traditional shiatsu massage at the spa, which was professional and deeply relaxing. It was a pleasant surprise to find an indoor onsen as well as a large outdoor swimming pool—both ideal for unwinding after a day out.

I arrived on a Sunday evening and took a taxi to Nguyễn Huệ Walking Street, the car-free pedestrian plaza near the Saigon Opera House. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable, with crowds strolling, street performers, and a public concert underway. It was a great introduction to the city and highlighted the appeal of Ho Chi Minh City’s wide boulevards and vibrant public spaces.

Overall, Hotel Nikko Saigon offers a refined, relaxing stay with excellent dining and wellness facilities. For travelers who don’t mind a taxi ride in exchange for peace and space, it’s an excellent choice and one I would happily stay again.

I stayed here for about a month, I really love this hotel, staff is super helpful and friendly, especially Raymond.

Celebrating my birthday overseas with my husband, we were originally meant to check in at another five-star hotel. However, after a stressful 2 a.m. arrival and the anxiety of our luggage being lost at the airport, I was exhausted and not thinking clearly. For reasons I still can’t fully recall, I ended up checking in at Hotel Nikko Saigon—and it turned out to be an unexpected gift from heaven.

The moment we shared that our luggage had been lost, the team immediately and graciously upgraded us, at no extra cost, to a hotel apartment. The room was spacious, beautifully appointed, offered a stunning view, and even included an in-room washing machine—an absolute blessing while we waited for our bags.

I must also mention the dining experience: the daily breakfast buffet, afternoon tea, happy hour, and evening seafood buffet were all simply outstanding.

From the Front Desk to the Concierge and F&B teams, everyone demonstrated exceptional care, thoughtfulness, and professionalism. Our sincere appreciation to all, with special thanks to Sophie, Vincent, Tony, Miller, and Mr. Hop, our limousine driver, for making my birthday—and our stay overall—truly memorable.

Once again, Sophie, Vincent, Tony, Miller, and Mr. Hop, you are the true stars of Hotel Nikko Saigon! Cheers and salute to you guys!

i and my wife enjoyed our 6-day stay in this hotel.the best,by far.i loved the foods,especially the seafood buffet.everyone in the hotel was very helpful,more so when the airline lost our luggages.special mention to sophie,vincent and everyone at the reception; toni,miller,and everyone at the concierge; and mr.hop [the driver].we'll definitely come back to vietnam and stay here again.thank you so much again😍

Excellent location. First time travelers will appreciate the high level of service and assurances. It’s not cheap. But it’s money well spent. Great value and will be back.

I have a memorable stay at Nikko, specially with the beautiful experience at the breakfast buffet. The whole team there were so nice and helpful. They are Nikko s assets, specially chef in charge Nam. I ve invited my friends to Nikko s breakfast and dinner buffets so they can experience the varieties of food and specially the professionalism the hospitality Team have proved to be at international level. I accidentally left my AirPods at the hotel and only realised when I was already checking in at the airport. Vincent Vo, the concierge staff who assisted me, was incredibly kind and helpful. After learning that my friend would be travelling to Ho Chi Minh City, he patiently coordinated with both of us and managed to have my AirPods successfully passed to my friend.

The process wasn’t entirely smooth, but Vincent followed through and resolved everything — I truly appreciate his dedication and support.

The hotel itself is clean and beautiful. I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Nikko Saigon. The room was spotless, and all the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

After a week in Saigon, my wife and I have just arrived back at home. The Nikko was a wonderful haven in the chilly weather of the season. The hotel is in a great position; everything you could possibly want to see and do just four blocks away. If the heat gets too much and you start to feel sick, you can take a $5 cab.
This hotel has it all: Its architecture is appealing, and its interior cleverly combines traditional Japanese design elements. The guest rooms are delightful, with large, fluffy towels and lovely amenities. This hotel's employees are its greatest asset. The general manager's quiet yet steady touch permeates every aspect of the hotel's operations. The establishment functions like a polite, well-maintained machine. Every employee, regardless of rank, is spotless. Kevin at reception, in particular, is truly content in his role and ready to help without being overbearing. I can't say enough good things about him. By providing personnel with training that strikes a delicate balance between being helpful and being invasive, the head of the front office has succeeded. We had a terrific time in Saigon because of its fascinating history, friendly Saigonese, delicious food, and excellent shopping.

In particular, the concierge, housekeeping, and reception staffs were consistently kind and supportive. I would want to say thank you to Kevin for his outstanding attention and assistance in helping us join the membership to wider our options and Manager Van for her leadership to ensure the front desk team operates efficiently.
The bed in the hotel was perhaps the most comfortable I've ever slept on, and the room itself was immaculate. The climate control system operated flawlessly. The turndown service was outstanding.
The location is close to the center of District 1, making it simple to stroll to neighboring restaurants and attractions or take a short Grab, which is comparable to a cab, to get there.

I had a great experience : Nice hotel, nice and helpful staff, everything runs smoothly, a good base for exploring HCMC.

I am grateful to Nikko Saigon for their excellent service throughout my business trip. Excellent location, comfortable bed, spotless rooms, and kind, helpful staff (especially Kevin). Mr. Dawson( General Manager) takes his time to check on guests concerns about the stay. Highly recommended !!

Bravo to Mr. Dawson, the general manager, for managing the hotel's operations like a well-oiled, well-run machine. The meal is delicious, the room is clean, and the staff is highly accommodating to the demands of the customers. We have stayed at many hotels in the city, but the service at the Nikko Saigon Hotel made it our favorite. We would like to thank a few employees that merit their recognition.
