Fantastic location, far enough from the road to be quiet, but you still have a fantastic view over lake.
The staff were super helpful, and the evening meal was Exceptional!

Lighting options in the room (kitchenette & bedroom light could not be seperated). Bathroom ( very small shower. no tub. No hand lotion. No tissues in the tissue box)

To access the room you have to go through the garage and it is quite a labyrinth. Also, they offered to “upgrade “us to an apartment in the very end of the hotel. We had to go through the garages and could not find our way back to the reception. Very nice apartment and at the same time, awful.
A very pleasant motel with helpful staff. Thanks to Daria for helping us check in. A beautiful view of the bay from the window. A small but cozy pool. Shuttles to Tongariro depart from the hotel. Our main purpose in Taupo was to hike Tongariro. A wonderful embankment for jogging is right in front of the hotel.
We were supposed to have breakfast, but for some reason it wasn't available. Instead, we were given a voucher for a meal at a restaurant. But the restaurant was only open in the evening, so we had to find breakfast in town. Furthermore, the voucher wasn't enough for two days of lunches due to the cost of the restaurant meals. It's a shame we weren't warned about this situation in advance. Also, there are no grocery stores in the area. Almost all of them close after 4 PM. So we had to walk several blocks to the supermarket.

Wonderful food, great staff..loved having a laundry as we're travelling and a very good location. Stunning views and walking distance to town centre, hopefully we will be back one day
When I left
Walls are thin we could hear next rooms tv all night we went and brought ear plugs
Handles in rooms are loose and hinges squeaked just shows lack of maintenance
Unfortunately a market was on the following day so room was surround by people setting up their stalls from 5am woke us up super early
Waste of $500 stayed in better motels for $180 night before and after IBS and Novatel way better
The staff member Ali was the highlight for us. So informative and welcoming and informative. Made the place instantly welcoming and a 10/10. We were helped by another staff member (apologies i never caught your name) who saved the day when we locked ourselves out of our room yikes 😂 staff highly influences ones stay and Suncourts staff were exceptional.
Our room itself was tidy, clean and comfortable. Nestled next to the Taupo lake but far enough from the main road, we were comfortable. Note that if you’re looking for a completely quiet stay whilst staying during the weekend, you will be right next to the Sunday Markets (literally outside your front window).
Have an onsite restaurant and bar for your convenience. We enjoyed it
Personal preference - having the Sunday Markets right outside. As said thats personal preference and won’t be the case for everyone.
