Sehr schön am See sowie zentrumsnah gelegenes Hotel
Pros:

Sehr gute Lage; komfortables Zimmer mit Blick auf den See; sehr freundliches und vor allem hilfsbereites Personal; sehr gutes Frühstück und Abendessen.

Cons:

Sehr hellhöriges Zimmer sowie Straßenlärm; trotz Buchung war an zwei von vier Tagen kein Frühstück erhältlich (allerdings wurde der Preis durch einen Gutschein zurückerstattet).

Pros:

Convenient parking and within walking distant to Taupo shopping centre, and lake side walks.

Cons:

Disappointed with our room location. The noise from a locked location beside Room 40 continued at intervals throughout the night, disturbing normal sleep patterns. Location of this room was not peaceful. Hair Shampoo was supplied however no Hair Conditioner. Also bathroom dispensers provided very minimal product so needed to be pumped many times to get sufficient bathroom product.
In this economic climate I understand this reduces output and limits the need to top up dispensers however Taupo is an extremely popular tourist location so perhaps we are not doing ourselves any favours by scrimping on product supply.

Pros:

Restaurant Lionel's was over yhe top. Servers were fantastic.

Cons:

Morning receptionist Sue, grumpy and couldnt be bothered. Iasked for just a cup of coffee as the restaurant was closed aside from a tour being serviced, recieved a flat out no. Certainly no above and beyond from her.

Being put in the accessible room , the bathroom had no vanity and a shower curtain shower . No knives to cut fruit up in the kitchen and no cutting board

Pros:

Great location. Easy access. Restaurant and pool on-site brilliant. Felt safe with kids. Comfy beds. Great service. Quiet rooms. Loved the deck.

Cons:

Felt a little tired, but still clean. KItchenette could be a little better, but overall very good.

Friendly and efficient staff. Location awesome.
Pros:

Great walking distance to town. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Cons:

Quite a basic room for the money, but we did opt for a room with a view.
The restaurant could be open longer, particularly during long weekends/holiday periods. We popped in for a drink and dessert just before 9 but was told the bar and restaurant were closed.

We would stay again. Lionel’s was an enjoyable restaurant
