Pros:

Thank you for a great stay - room size was very generous, great bed and bedding. Everything you needed was there. Pool / spa , play ground for kids. Very close to town location & Sunday market just across the road. Great value for money thank you

Road trip overnight stopoff in Taupo
Pros:

Good location close to shops and restaurants, nice view of lake from the window. Great shower.

Cons:

Check in process: Despite pre paying for room and doing their online check in, providing credit card details, on arrival a photo id was required and $250 taken from my credit card, the $250 to be refunded after checkout and being satisfied that we hadn't stolen or damaged anything. fealt a bit insulting really. We have struck this overseas, although rare, but never before in New Zealand.

The best motel we've been to in Taupo.We'll always come back to the Suncourt from now on.
Pros:

Welcoming kindly people at reception; fabulous view over the lake; excellent room (with 2 armchairs), comfy bed, good aircon, balcony (with table and chairs), no traffic noise, great shower water pressure. The location is excellent - we left the car and walked into town and along the lakefront.
