Room and bathroom was not cleaned, swimming pool was dirty.

I am a senior contributor to Triadviser -have been awarded both Review and Photo superstar badges and views Authority and having travelled all over India and abroad I have always believed and experienced also that Indian hospitality is the best ( usually) as my reviews ( more than 250) will indicate where I have genuinely praised and appreciated the hospitality
Unfortunately my recent stay in Radisson blu Dwarka with family -two rooms 642 and 629 shattered that confidence and left all is disappointed at the utter lack of basic room service and maintenance and such poor standards are certainly not expected from a 5 star reputed chain like Radisson
I understand that with almost 300 rooms and mostly catering to evenings like weddings -they are busy -so time taken to check in etc are understandable but lacking efficient and prompt housekeeping and room
Services and conveniently blaming everything to ‘human error or failure ‘ reeks of a casual and unprofessional attitude and lack of training given To staff
So let me examine in short about what we unbelievably experienced
1) we had two rooms -and firstly on entering room 639 had no shampoo / handwash filled up ,stains and hair in washroom area with a very narrow washroom and No cupboard and worse the Safe was just kept loosely on a shelf -anyone could pick it up !!
2) the main issue which actually spilled everything -we were there for a evening reception function and had got our own comfort and convenience booked an overnight stay with the intention of getting ready in the room itself in a relaxed manner -now when my good wife wanted to use the hair dryer we were stunned to discover that the marked drawe did not have the hair dryer -at that time we were not worried and just gave a call at 7.15 om to the housekeeping where a person named Saksham assured me that the hair dryer will be sent in a few minutes
We patiently waited and 15 minutes passed -I gave a call to Saksham again and he agin said sorry he is informing the relevant person to deliver the hair dryer -after another 5 minutes passed I called th duty manger and he then assured me that it will be definitely delivered -by this time it was am
Almost 20-25 minutes and we called our sons room-629 where they said that they have a hairdryer so my wife walked down the corridor ( not a very comfortable position to be in for a lady) and she started using the hair dryer there and in fee minutes even that hair dryer had a short circuit ( it was having some tape repair work already done )!!
As the hairdryer had still not come-almost 30 mins now since I patiently and politely requested ,my wife had to go to another floor to my sisters room -
I understandably had got a bit agitated by now and I called the duty manger againamd now two of them came to the room -( still without the basic hairdryer !!!) -it was almost 35 minutes since the first request .
Now it was almost tragically comical how they behaved -first -as if to insult the guests basic intelligence -they went to the washroom with confidence and said that can’t you see the labelled drawer with hair dryer written on it and he then went to open it in front of me and obviously it was empty ( the very reason we had politely requested for one 40 minutes back !!
Then the Person named Sushil in a panic mode started making desperate calls with with his phone as if the guest had made some unreasonable outrageous request and they were sunable to fulfill
-obviously we were quite agitated by now and his body language became bit aggressive
The we met down to the reception and met there front duty manager Pranjal -it was almost 8 pm by now and our other guests had started arriving -he placated us and assured us that this was an isolated incident and that they will definitely compensate us with some gesture of goodwill as this was an embarrassment for a reputed hotel .
As we were getting late we went back to get ready -ultimately a dryer was provided but my wife ( we both are professionals and senior citizens ) had already got ready in my sisters room( which was on a different floor)
Till the time We checked out the next day there was no and I repeat no reconcilatory gesture or apology extended by Mr Pranjal and team
The general manager Mr Ranjan Banerjee was never bought into the picture even though this was one of the worst experiences a gust has have ever had in a 5 star chain of repute .
I am sure we will get a perfunctory response now with some apology but i believe that not accepting and acting in time And not acknowledging lack of basic hospitality standards exhibits and shows radisson blu Dwarka in very poor light
I hope that the feedback from a genuine guest at least gives them some incentive to introspect and improve their services
Btw-one of relative in fourth floor room 416/417 also had issues with poor AC cooling and washroom bath area flooding !!
If there was some positive it was definitely their restaurant and food service -the buffet breakfast and lunch plus the reception dinner were excellent ( and I have also given a positive byte to the banquet manager.
It’s my humble and concerned advise and feedback as a professional myself that please improve your basic services and not get tied down with the label of a business hotel only where individual guests don’t Matter that much.
I am not in favour of putting up the staffs photo as a sense of decorum but the edited photo shows the agitated body language and phone in hand
And sharing my profile and also similar feedback’s with similar drive and maintenance complaints
