Pros:

Location, staff , easy check in, nice communication

Cons:

Note the hotel is old fashioned 2 star with no real isolation between the rooms

Unique hospitability in heart of Furnas
Pros:

Ladies in the hotel were really helpful and kind, so we felt like at home during our stay. On day of our arrival we could check-in earlier, as our room was ready, we really appreciated it after a long travel to the island! When we planned to visit a hiking trail, they asked responsible authorities for further information, if we will be in safe on the route or which road is available. If we had any questions or requests, they helped/ gave us advice or told more details about local customs (like a private tour guide!).
Breakfast was amazing, we can taste local food. Location of the hotel is great, as it's in the city center and must-see places are in walking distance.
We would like to say thank you for the team and really recommand this hotel! We hope, we can return next time, as this kind of host is unique!

Accueil très aimable, bon emplacement, et super petit déjeuner.

Pros:

Excelente service! Best on the São Miguel. I stayed two weeks in January 2026, almost alone in the hole hotel. Every morning, I have my delicious breakfast. The room was very clean. Good hot shower. Location is just perfect, walking distance to everything in Furnas.

Cons:

The hotel is old and needs some upgrades.

A welcoming hotel
Pros:

Welcoming, helpful staff. Easily walkable to the hot springs. Nice environment. Comfortable bed. Balcony with seating overlooking garden. Many home-made items at breakfast.

Cons:

We booked, paid, and made sure we could check in by 11:00 PM. The hotel replied that we could. We arrived before 10:00 PM, no one let us in, no one answered the phone, and the hotel was closed. We were left stranded on the street overnight. Fortunately, some kind people in town helped us and took us in for that one night. The next morning, we looked for another hotel. To this day, we haven't received an explanation for what happened.
