Courtyard Milwaukee Airport

Located in a quiet safe neighborhood convenient to downtown and restaurants.

My stay was not the most pleasant. I had to change my room about three times. One of the rooms I was transferred to had a spider crawling on the headboard. The staff did their best to rectify the situation. However, I was very disappointed with my stay.

We used to like staying here, but this last visit was disappointing. It was pretty dirty (floors not vacuumed and sticky carpeting). It is definitely time to upgrade bathrooms (our shower leaked onto the floor). The gym had no wipes, towels, or air conditioner. We had to ask twice over our 4 night stay for towels/coffee. No free coffee in lounge either!!!

Did not have breakfast.

Everything and everyone was great. Except the clerk that checked us in seemed “put out” and rather rude

Clean room attentive staff

There were some great things like the available early check in, the functioning ice machine, the comfortable bed. There weee also some not so great things like the tired feeling shower, the bathroom sink that didn’t drain well and the luggage carts which were too small to bother with.
We took advantage of the available pay for breakfast one morning and it was ok, but there was only one person working there, both taking the orders and doing the cooking. It was a long wait and we wished that we had gone elsewhere.
The shuttle to the festival we attended was convenient and a nice surprise!
We will stay here again.

Great parking

The property is excellent and the room was fresh and bright. The only flaw was the lack of water pressure in the bathroom sink, the shower was what I would expect. I believe the flow restrictions are set to low.....

The convenience to the airport.

Staff was excellent! We were able to utilize the fire pit in the back with family. Rooms and building were clean. Will definitely stay here again.

There wasn't anything particularly wrong with this Courtyard. I would say it had what I'm used to from a Courtyard. There were just a lot of little things not quite right.

Let me start by saying that the staff was very friendly.

Here are some observations in no particular order ...

The pool was closed the entire week I was there. I read in a review somewhere else that guests observed that on or before July 14 and were disappointed as they had planned for their children to go there. It is a small pool but still. Maybe the hotel needs to send out a heads up to people. I mean I received tons of unnecessary emails about my stay already.

The entire week the wipes in the gym were empty. I pointed that out on day one and was told housekeeping was going to take care of it. There were also no towels. The second day I ran into somebody and they brought pool towels which were a bit too large but they worked. Throughout the week towels kept piling up as nobody emptied the basket.

The hotel is clean but could use a little refresher here and there.

I appreciate the shampoo/conditioner/body wash containers for generating less plastic waste in the shower but the latter was empty. I went to the front desk and they had a new one waiting for me when I got back in the evening.

The tables in the bistro area could probably be wiped a bit more frequently.

I saw somebody coming to the bistro with an empty ice bucket asking for ice. I suspect there was a broken ice machine.

Breakfast is served until 9:30 AM but I saw three people turned away at 9:24 AM with the excuse that she was there by herself and breakfast closed at 9:30 AM. I guess she at least offered to serve Starbucks. I get that that was the end of the shift but true service is if you stay a few minutes longer to make your customers happy. This is probably the worst of the things I observed.

I think all of this could be a management problem and also a problem with being understaffed. I saw the same person at the front desk in the evening when I checked in and the following morning. Then she was in the bistro that evening and again the next morning. That shows great work ethic and maybe she should always be there for breakfast.

I wasn't dissatisfied overall and got what I expected. I just wanted to share these observations hoping that management will see it to make adjustments.

Clean and convenient

The staff was great. Rooms where clean. Our tv didn't work right away so had to call the front desk.
The pool hasn't worked in months, and we got the hotel for the pool. There is no hot tub at all and the ad shows that there is.
We are not happy about that. We picked the hotel because the add said it had a pool and hot tub. We had out three kids with and was looking forward to swimming. They need to fix there add
