Whose Urine Am I standing In!?

April 7th-Checking in.
Desk Clerk says their system has my cell phone number under a different person’s name.
I get that straightened out.
April 8th-Room key disabled even though I was staying 2 nights
Desk Clerk (Cody) advises that the 2 cards involved must have been corrupted magnetically.
My sister and I had kept the cards in our shirt pockets
Cards are reissued and now work
Afternoon of April 8th- Toilet O-ring fails and now bathroom floor flooded.
Contacted Cody at front desk. Explained what had to pack up and move to new room. No apology at all was issued by Cody.
Moved to new room. Unpacked and put our breakfast items we brought with into room fridge.
Morning of April 9th- Awoke to find that room fridge had frozen our items rendering them to not be edible anymore. So had to now go to hotel breakfast area instead of enjoying what we had intentionally brought with to have. Had coffee and orange juice in breakfast area. Returned then to room and found again that neither room key was functional. Went to front desk with disabled room keys. Met there with Isabella (hotel manager). Explained keys not working. Once again explained that keys were placed on desktop so we did not deactivate them. Isabella swipes keys and says they should work now. Back to room and again keys do not work. Back to Isabella who says that it must be the actual lock itself and will have maintenance look into it. Explained that this is a different room than so can’t be lock itself. Must be something hotel is doing. Isabella swipes keys at front desk again and now they work. Isabella apologizes and issues a 30% refund on room cost for 1 night.
Not a good experience. Makes me seriously wonder about remaining a Choice Hotels member.

Pros:

The entire property was very dirty, overflowing trash cans in the entry near the ice machine that smelt horrible and bugs coming out of it. There was someone’s dirty socks in the bed. Toilet paper on bathroom floor and hair everywhere. Staff was rude

A decent place to crash for a night
Pros:

The location was decent - near amenities. Pool was nice. Front desk representatives at check in were nice.

Cons:

The rooms were not AS clean as I'd like, but tolerable for a one night stay.

Convenient location, needs a some attention to detail

Cons:

Breakfast needs butter for bagels. The inside of bathroom door frame was rusted. When asked for clean towels we were told the house keeper did not wash any before she left. Had to wait a few minutes before someone brought 2 more. No bathroom floor towel at all. AC didn’t seem to work properly. At 63 setting is was barely cooling.
