The hotel room was good but in addition to our other gripes we were automatically ‘upgraded’ to a room at the back which
Pros:

It was in a good location and the bedroom was comfortable.

Cons:

We booked whilst en route to Leeds since our other Booking.com accommodation had a leak. We selected something with parking. But when we arrived the hotel has only 7 small parking spaces for its entirety! These are apparently on a first come first served basis, we didn’t feel this was clear enough in the description, (which admittedly we had booked in haste.) It would have been better to say no parking and we would have looked elsewhere, we felt really duped so it wasn’t a good stay. Parking cost us £36 overnight in a ‘nearby’ multistorey which, while easy enough for us, who are fairly able bodied, to walk back to, it was an inconvenient waste of our time since the drive there was around one way systems and through roadworks. I wouldn’t expect an hotel to say ‘breakfast is included’ only to find out upon reading the small print, it is only for the first few people checking in!
