Location was superb, lovely size room in beautiful building close to the station and city centre
I was asked to pay a £50 room deposit which was not immediately refunded back to my card on leaving. When questioned after a few days I was told that it had just been held and not actually taken but this was not the case. After five emails and three phone calls and providing a copy of the receipt I was refunded some four weeks later so please watch for this. Not good - not sure if this was a ruse or a genuine mistake but it was a real nuisance.
Beautiful building. Bedroom was spacious and very comfortable.
Can’t fault our stay
My favourite receptionist ever! Legend status, beautiful hotel, perfect location, fabulous room.
Nothing
A lovely building spacious clean rooms friendly staff
Not really hotels fault, more as a warning to others. Booking.com site said it had parking, which it did, but surprised to find it was 25 pounds for the overnight stay, thought it was a bit steep, would have just preferred to get that as an upfront charge when I booked, and decide whether or not to take car from there
Comfortable beds with soft cotton bedding. White fluffy towels. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean. Great location short 3 minute walk to the train station yet the hotel was tranquil and quiet.
Beautiful hotel & facilities, extremely helpful staff. Location perfect.
Nothing to mention
Size and standard of the room.
Nothing.
Great, friendly staff. Beautiful facility. Super close to train station.
Nothing
fantastic old property with very friendly and accommodating staff.
The staff are so friendly & helpful. This is a hotel where you get a personal service not just a transaction. The hotel has lovely decor & very close to the train station. There is a car park that you can use on a first come - first served basis, it is tiny though & cars are shoe-horned in, it also costs £25 for the night we stayed - which I think is expensive & wasn't made aware of this when booking via hotels.com alternatively I read in the room info that you can park in Q car park for a discounted rate through the hotel, which also is just a short walk away.
The room was very clean & comfortable, 310 above the bar / restaurant. We heard no noise from below, over looking the street at the entrance.
The mini bar & snacks are extortionate prices ! Buy some on the way so you don't get drunken nibbles when you get back to the room that cost you a fortune.
