Nice hotel - breakfast although okay, was expensive
Pros:

Location was superb, lovely size room in beautiful building close to the station and city centre

Cons:

I was asked to pay a £50 room deposit which was not immediately refunded back to my card on leaving. When questioned after a few days I was told that it had just been held and not actually taken but this was not the case. After five emails and three phone calls and providing a copy of the receipt I was refunded some four weeks later so please watch for this. Not good - not sure if this was a ruse or a genuine mistake but it was a real nuisance.

Beautiful hotel
Pros:

A lovely building spacious clean rooms friendly staff

Cons:

Not really hotels fault, more as a warning to others. Booking.com site said it had parking, which it did, but surprised to find it was 25 pounds for the overnight stay, thought it was a bit steep, would have just preferred to get that as an upfront charge when I booked, and decide whether or not to take car from there

Fabulous hotel
Pros:

The staff are so friendly & helpful. This is a hotel where you get a personal service not just a transaction. The hotel has lovely decor & very close to the train station. There is a car park that you can use on a first come - first served basis, it is tiny though & cars are shoe-horned in, it also costs £25 for the night we stayed - which I think is expensive & wasn't made aware of this when booking via hotels.com alternatively I read in the room info that you can park in Q car park for a discounted rate through the hotel, which also is just a short walk away.
The room was very clean & comfortable, 310 above the bar / restaurant. We heard no noise from below, over looking the street at the entrance.
The mini bar & snacks are extortionate prices ! Buy some on the way so you don't get drunken nibbles when you get back to the room that cost you a fortune.
