Pros:

Room was comfortable, location very convenient. Temperature in room was easy to control.

Cons:

Slightly unfriendly staff, and had to call the desk to be let in the front door. Not a very welcoming experience. Staff who opened the door didn't say a word, and didn't even point to the check in desk, which wasn't obvious. Room deposit was taken which is unusual, and I didn't see advertised.

Great location. Comfortable accommodation
Pros:

Great location. Comfortable bed and great shower with lovely toiletries

Cons:

Slight confusion from staff as I’d booked two rooms. One for myself and one for my son. I had to check out before him and when he checked out two hours later he was told they thought he’d left without returning his key card so had charged for it. Waiting 3-5 days for a refund!

Appearances can be deceiving, leaving sleep deprived
Pros:

Appearances can deceive, gorgeous interior, warm and welcoming staff, free upgrade, what's not to love? I am partially deaf and could still hear a constant beat from room 201, must back on to a pub or club. I attended the Roundhay festival and was only in the room from midnight to 8am with a very limited sleep for the price, very disappointing.

Impractical hotel, staff make the most of what they can
Pros:

The location was brilliant as it was next to the station.

The l'occitane hand wash and body products were lovely.

Caroline has a great sense of humour. The gent on the front desk at night time was friendly too.

The entrance and bar areas were welcoming and a good first impression.

The mattress was comfy (just not the pillows).

A hair dryer was provided.

Cons:

The pillows were horrendously soft as they squished down so flat I needed three pillows to feel they were at the height of one good quality pillow.

The room was very hot and lacked ventilation. The room was a fair size, but the layout was absolutely bizarre and impractical. There was a nice long but thin bathroom, so there was plenty of space however the toilet was placed right in the middle and on the long wall. I am 5 ft 7 and when sitting on the toilet my knees touched the wall in front of me so my 6ft 2 partner was very uncomfortable..

There were stains on the carpets and curtains.

The car park is very small (less than 10 spaces) but it is also very awkwardly shaped. Luckily we have a small car but even we struggled to manoeuvre into the awkward spaces.

The ceiling height was low in the room (but we didn't realise from the listing that the small doubles are based in the attic with low sloping walls).

Lack of consistency in quality. For example the hand wash products were luxury but the pillows, toilet paper and tissues felt cheap. The decor of the small double room also was tired.
