Pleasant, quiet hotel in stylish old building. Friendly & helpful staff.
Pros:

The breakfast fully met our requirements and beyond. We only usually have cereal and fruit for breakfast. In this instance we had the cereal, and in my wife’s case tomato and mushrooms , whilst I had bacon and mushrooms. Full breakfast would have outfaced us!

Cons:

Nothing!!

Great location and good price
Pros:

Nice big room, comfy bed and powerful shower. Great location

Cons:

Didn’t like that the door was locked when I arrived (12pm) and there was a sign on the door to telephone a number to be let in but I could see receptionist there, who didn’t buzz me in, and ignored me.
I had to go and come back again to be let in.

Old school vintage charm
Pros:

Staff were friendly. Old school vintage charm. Beds were comfortable, pillows soft. Very good location, a minutes walk to the train station. Nice bathroom toiletries, with slippers and bath gowns provided.

Cons:

Carpets looked a bit worn out. The breakfast conservatory isn't really a conservatory and the view isn't great. Breakfast was very overpriced for what it was.

Great central location with spacious room
Pros:

Excellent central location, well sized and nicely decorated room in an interesting building with no external noise as located on a non through-road. Friendly reception staff and able to securely store luggage if arriving before room available

Cons:

Discounted parking details were not shared in advance so we ended up parked in a far more expensive car park - discounted parking available at Q-Park Sovereign Square only but none of the other Q-Park options. Breakfast was also a little basic for the price paid

Wonderfully relaxing.
Pros:

Beautiful hotel, great location, very quite and heard no outside noise. Very friendly staff and were happy to help.

The hotel room was very clean and the shower was incredible.

Cons:

The pillows were a little too soft, could do with maybe being slightly firmer but that's personal preference, apart from that everything else was perfect.

Comfortable, well appointed establishment that enabled us to have a marvellous, restful stay.
Pros:

I enjoyed everything about this lovely characterful hotel. We had great stay - which was all too short. The staff are exceptional and made us feel really welcome whilst being professional in every regard. Our needs were catered for with pleasant efficiency and an ease borne out of years of building the qualities of this 'Brand'. I was able to organise a 'business' meeting in the bar, consequently, I look forward to coming back in the not too distant future.

Cons:

Only something that was entirely my fault! When we left, we drove into a nearby bus only lane by mistake, getting fined in the process!
