Very centrally located, and the food was amazing.
No on-site parking but it's not a major issue as there's lots of parking areas on the roads nearby (you have to pay)
The service at breakfast was very poor. The food took over 45 minutes to arrive. Many other guests faced a similar delay. No apologies were offered. It took the edge off the stay.
Recently refurbished. Lovely, airy, quiet room. Excellent comfy bed. Complete with thoughtful touches - aircon; plug sockets at bed height right next to the bed; free online newspapers; an enormous and delicious breakfast included in the price.

Very good location close to the shops, bars and the castle. The staff were attentive and friendly. The hotel it's self has recently been refurbished and looks amazing. There was live music on the Saturday night. I would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a relaxing weekend.
There was nothing I didn't like. The only thing I would suggest would be a choice of size for the full English as I couldn't eat it all and it was delicious.

Breakfast was excellent, and dinner was good too. The bathroom was spotless and little extra touches like the radio were good too. The staff were really friendly, helpful and professional.
The room was next to a fire door which closed very noisily every time someone went through. Some of the fire doors were much quieter, so maybe this could be adjusted? The only other downside was a complete lack of storage space. I know this was a very small room and I don’t know what the facilities are like in the other rooms, but there are ways of making storage space ie bedside and other tables with drawers underneath. I’ve noticed that there is a trend in most hotels these days to avoid storage space and I find it baffling!
