Das Hotel ist nicht nur alt , sondern auch schrecklich.
Das Schwimmbad usw. ist nicht zur Benutzung geeignet.
Zimmer in einem furchtbaren Zustand.
Das Personal war wenigstens freundlich!
Mehr als 50 Euro pro Doppelzimmer mit Frühstück darf man nicht bezahlen.
Also Fazit: Nie mehr dort übernachten.

Wanderwochenende, Übernachtung in einem sehr ruhig gelegenen Hotel, danach Saisonende.
Hallenbad war wegen einem Defekt geschlossen.

Wonderful find. In Black Forest area of Germany and just across the French border near Strausburg and Alsace wine route. We couldn't find a room in France and found this hotel on hotels.com.
Would recommend anyone going to either of those places to stay here. The region is beautiful, German
rooms tend to be larger, balconies and good food. Many nice restaurants in the town and Baden-Baden which is beautiful is less than an hour away. The owner was a lovely woman who couldn't have been kinder to us.

Wir hatten zweit Tage in einem schönen Hotel mit unserem kleinen Sohn geplant, daher auch dieses Hotel mit Schwimmbad gewählt. Leider war das Schwimmbad - einer der Hauptbuchungsgründe - geschlossen. Es roch überall muffig, das Bad hatte Schimmel am Duschvorhang. Der Mitarbeiter war jedoch sehr freunlich, als wir schon nach einem Tag die Koffer packten. Unser Eindruck war, daß es sich bei diesem Hotel mal um das beste am Platz gehandelt haben muß, aber lange nichts mehr gemacht wurde.

Chambres confortables et bien situées (+). Pas de demi-pension (-) Piscine de l'hôtel non accessible (-).

Wir haben eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit gesucht, da wir in der Gegend wandern gehen wollten.
Ds Personal war sehr freundlich. Wir durften sogar bereits um 12 Uhr einchecken. Frühstück war in Ordnung. Das Hotel in seinem etwas altmodischen Stil gefiel uns sehr gut.

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, using it as an access point for day trips to Baden-Baden and Strasbourg. The hotel staff was very pleasant, although there seemed to be one new employee that was completely ignorant to things in the town, unable to give us even basic recommendations or directions. However, the man who ran the desk and was there nearly our whole stay was very charming and accommodating. The hotel itself is a bit older, but it is well maintained, clean, and presented honestly in its pictures. As we were a group of eight staying in four rooms, we were very happy about the multiple interior and exterior common spaces we could use to play card games, have a drink, and enjoy a fire. The surrounding town is very beautiful with vineyards spotting the hills and enjoyable restaurants.

hôtel et piscine agréable, personnel sympathique .

Einfaches, sauberes, aber in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel für ein Wochenende. Service okay, Frühstücksbuffet ohne besondere Auswahl. Hotel liegt etwas bergauf oberhalb der Hauptstraße.

Kein Restaurant vorhanden. Das Schwimmbad kann nicht genutzt werden, da Wasser eiskalt. Außerdem sieht das Wasser grau aus. Außenanlagen sehr ungepflegt, überall wuchert Unkraut. Könnte ein gutes Hotel sein. Offensichtlich lässt man es verkommen. Die Zimmerpreise sind nicht gerechtfertigt.

hôtel désuet, manque de vie, niveau d'entretien moyen, accueil agréable, tarif correct, piscine et sauna vieillot...

Bonne impression dans l'ensemble. Dommage seulement que la piscine s'est retrouvée en vidange pendant 2 de nos 3 jours de séjour.

hôtel et service bien, mais ne prenait pas les chambre dans les étage supérieur car le goulgou du chauffage central non purgé vous empêcheras de dormir ni sous le toi car les fenêtre de toit laisse passer beaucoup de lumière.
Surveiller vote facture car il vous compte les petit déjeuner que vous n'avez pas pris !

Mais le cadre est sublime, hôtel au bord d'un torrent (silencieux) et la taverne Otto's dans le village est un régal.

Hotel idéal pour tout le monde (couples, familles, amis). Super accueil de la part du personnel, hôtel avec beaucoup de charme, bien situé dans un village très joli.

Excellent hotel ...accueil tres bien ..... Quelques difficultes de la langue ...mais bonnes explications et comprehension malgre tout ....nous avons profite de la piscine et du sauna du 15 au 16/12. chambre confortable..... L hotel dispose de 2 salons super.... Dont 1 avec cheminee tres chaleureux calme.... petit dejeuner excellent buffet a volonte .....super week end nous recommandons et je penses nous y retourneront ...

beau cadre,chambres spacieuses et trés propres avec tout ce qu'il faut au niveau de l'équipement. petit déjeuner très varié et copieux. personnel avenant et très agréable..;

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Brandback hotel. The staff were well versed in the attractions of the area, spoke excellent English and treated us as though we were family. Sasbachwalden is a small village about an hour south of Baden Baden. You can get to the village and the hotel via the autobahn, but the Black Forest High Road is a much better route to take.
