Phaidon Beach Resort

Came during the Typhoon season so it rained a fair bit. The resort is isolated. Don’t come here expecting restaurants and shops next door. Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Comfy bed. Aircon worked very well. TV has many channels. Good hot water pressure in the shower. Western style toilet, Pool was very clean. As the resort is isolated, ate nearly all of my meals in their restaurant. Enjoyed my omelettes and dinner meals with no after effects. Definitely suggest a walk along the road and meet some of the locals. All friendly and many speak English well. Also take a trike to Pandan and visit the local market or go further to Culasi, which I also did. Flooded roads meant I couldn’t visit the many tourist sites in the area. Maricris & her husband are the owners and are very friendly, approachable and helpful. I enjoyed my experience despite the weather

Very nice place and superb staff!:) too bad it’s not having more visitors in such a fantastic beach and area around. It may look like the pandemic made the place get a huge blow, sorry to say. But we enjoyed the place and the staff.

Aircon did not work. the rooms are quite warm. place is run down. Bathroom drains floods when use. resort owner is unfriendly. very sad for a resort that is in good location. poorly run and maintained.

Rude and abrupt owner, I booked an air conditioned room with breakfast included. Unfortunately the room’s aircon was hotter than outside temperature and was not working, towels and bedding were like second hand rags and breakfast was meant to be included as part of the package. The staff were very polite and helpful although the owner was extremely rude and stated I was trying to scam him for asking for what I had paid for under the contract.. this was very disappointing and in fact made the stay very uncomfortable. After an irate conversation with the owner explaining I would not have booked this hotel if I had known this would be the case we were moved to a slightly better room and offered a small breakfast for the remaining two days. I would not recommend unless a change in management occurred.

Difficult situation with remnants of a typhoon.

A quiet little gem on the coast in Antique. Its seen better days, but that didn't make our 2 night stay any less pleasurable. My wife and I stayed in a 'cottage/cabin' and 6 family members stayed in the family villa, which was enormous in size and had a large beach front patio with a large table where we could all eat together (both food we brought, and meals we ordered from their restaurant). Both accommodation types included a fridge and the family villa also had a small kitchen sink. Great ocean view and the pool was fine. The restaurant food was quite good and reasonably priced, and overall the service provided by all the staff members we dealt with was of a very high standard.
We will in all likelihood return to Phaidon.

The resort has a nice location with direct beach access.

Resort vieillot, 2 suites "honeymoon" avec vue mer réservées mais une à l'étage avec vue unique sur les cocotiers, on a demandé de changer de chambre ce qui a été accepté mais sans vue mer...wifi qui marche uniquement au bar de la piscine, restauration (2 x 6 diners + 2 x 6 pdj) de piètre qualité moyenne et qu'il ne faut pas oublier de réserver au moins 2 à l'avance car aucun autre restaurant à moins de 25 km à la ronde, petit déjeuner continental servi froid ou tiède au mieux...2 gros chiens dans le restaurant qui viennent aux tables quémander de la nourriture, sinon personnel avenant et attentif, environnement calme et belle plage de sable blanc, nous ne recommanderons donc pas cet établissement

It is just by the beach but away from everywhere. If you want to stay nothing around you this is perfect place. Food was good.

Had a great stay at the resort. Great clean beach and all surrounding areas. Bernie and his staff are amazing. Very attentive and friendly, I felt like a member of the family. Good at the restaurant is excellent and has a wide variety. Can't wait to visit again.

I love that its a beach resort and our room is in the beachfront. I also love the pool, its big and warm. The food was too expensive for the actual food experience.

Expedia gave wrong info of the size of the bed. I booked it because of the size of the bed but when we arrive there the bungalow room has only queen bed. A/C kinda old already and cannot cool the whole room. Lacking toiletries. Experienced brownout. Despite experiencing this we enjoyed our stay. The whole place is quiet and peaceful. Staffs are nice. The best part of the resort is their white beach. Powdery/ glittery white sand. Waters are clear and no rocks.

Ich kann dieses Resort nur empfehlen. Äußerst freundliches und aufmerksames Personal, wunderschöner und sauberer Strand, gutes Essen, saubere Zimmer und wenig Tourismus in der Umgebung, weshalb es sehr ruhig war und man den Strand fast für sich alleine hatte. Der Besitzer und seine Frau sind sehr nett und haben mich sogar eingeladen, sie zu einer Hochzeit zu begleiten. Das war ein ein tolles Erlebnis. Ich würde dort jederzeit wieder Urlaub machen, obwohl ich normalerweise nicht zweimal am selben Ort Urlaub mache.

The beer is cold, food is varied and delicious, beach/water is clear and clean, pool provides a relaxing and vibrant atmosphere. If you dont leave your room, the cable tv package and air conditioning allows you to hunker down for weeks. The best cable package I have seen anywhere in Asia with several HD channels. For internet, the signal was strongest in the pool and bar area.

I have book 2 Cottage in JULY for a family X-Mas trip in December 2016. The owner had 6 months to inform me about the renovation he was planning in December... He didn't. After being caught 3 days in the Typhoon with my family, we finally got there to find out that our "cottage" where the one in the back of the garden, right beside the construction site, and I mean 4 feets from it! I try to make an arrangement with him, he yell at me, I asked him to call Hotels.com he said he would never pay tor an international call for this. Finally didn't want to reimburse me. Or make any deal. So here are my pictures from the site, you can judge by yourself who was wrong. So disappointed! We left, there was no way we could stay there.

All I am going to say is that this hotel or resort needs some sort of improvement.
