Fantastic 'out of high season' stay, so great value in a character old vila hotel, with nice pool.

Gemütliches einfaches und sauberes Hostal/Hotel mit freundlichem Personal
Pros:

Preis-Leistung top, für mich als Rucksacktouristin GR92 ideal, ich erhielt ein Zimmer mit Balkon, sehr sauber, freundliches Personal, Frühstück für den Preis absolut in Ordnung
Lage etwas oberhalb des Stadtkerns, nicht direkt am GR92, in 10 min fussläufig alles erreichbar, es lohnt sich. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt.

Seit 1898 blickt dieses kleine Schmuckstück über Sant Feliu de Guíxols und hat sich dabei seinen ganz eigenen Charme bewahrt. Die letzte größere Renovierung dürfte vermutlich in den 70er- oder 80er-Jahren erfolgt sein – das sieht man den Möbeln und ihrem Zustand auch an. Würde jedoch alles modernisiert werden, ginge genau dieser besondere Charakter verloren und das Haus wäre vermutlich kaum noch bezahlbar. Für uns war vor allem wichtig: Es war überall sehr sauber.
Wir hatten das Glück, im Zimmer 218 untergebracht zu sein. Dort erwarteten uns außergewöhnliche Fenster sowie ein großer Balkon.
Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und lecker, und das Personal stets freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch mit unserem Hund gab es keinerlei Probleme.

Cons:

Gut zu wissen: Das Hostal liegt auf einem kleinen Hügel. In die Altstadt und zum Strand geht es daher jeweils mit einigen Höhenmetern hinunter und wieder hinauf.

Cons:

Dommage que la direction n'ai pas l'idée de faire poser un revêtement de sol sur un isolant phonique et doubler les cloisons entre les chambres, on peut suivre une conversation. Ça pourrait faire gagner une étoile et je pense que l'amortissement de ces frais serait d'une durée de 2 ans en augmentant le prix des chambres de 10 €. A bon entendeur salut.
