Wonderful location but spoiled by the meal in the boudoir room being poorly supported by the staff.

Appearance, room was lovely.

Cons:

Staff appeared to be under pressure and were unsure of there roles and made several errors. Drinks orders were delivered wrong not once but twice and the food was not served to us at the same time ridiculous considering the room was booked out with a price premium.

Was Besonderes für die Durchreise
Pros:

Mal in einem Schloss zu übernachten, ist schon was besonderes. Das Zimmer selbst war recht groß. Auch das Bad wahr überdurchschnittlich groß. Das Frühstück war umfangreich. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Kostenlose Parkplätze standen auf dem Schlossgelände zur Verfügung.

Cons:

Auf Grund einer Feierlichkeit war das eigentliche Restaurant geschlossen. Essen war in der Lounge möglich, jedoch mussten wir uns die Speisekarte selbst holen und die Bestellung dann auch beim Barkeeper aufgeben. Ich gehe aber davon aus, dass es an der privaten Feierlichkeit lag.

We were pleased to see our friends who had stayed here prviously.
Pros:

The bar staff were very pleasant youngsters.
The breakfast staff also very pleasant.

Cons:

Well!!!! The first room we were given someone had been in the bed!!!!! And there was a drink beside the bed! Felt like Goldilocks!!!
The second room given had the lift attached to it…I had specifically messaged before our arrival asking for a quiet room not near stairs or a lift!!!
The third room was the State Room or Bridal Suite!!
The four poster bed creaked every time one of us moved so very poor sleep quality.
Planes taking off from Birmingham airport were horrendous from 6am on the dot!!! Really close to the hotel building.

Cons:

this is our fifth visit including a night's stay, so we are having breakfast before we checkout,
however, staff either see us arrive for breakfast but not acknowledge us, or just ignore us altogether.
we aren't asked if we have stayed before, no hint of how it works, do we need to order anything, or just help ourselves.
on our last visit breakfast was on a sunday and staff didnt come into the breakfast room to see if we were okay or to check for anything missing in fact we had to ask for milk for our tea!!!!! my wife has worked hospitality on a breakfast shift in the burlington hotel and was diasappointed in the lack of service!

Pros:

What an absolutely stunning location, a real beauty spot with lots and lots of fascinating history.
We staff were amazing, in particular Nina and Peter. They made our stay amazing and couldn't do enough for us. We thank you for that and your knowledge was top notch.
The room was comfortable and clean.
The grounds are well kept, with little bits of work going on, that didn't affect our stay at all, but evident that it's clearly been maintained well.
We will definitely returning.
