Old building was a bit dingy in places.
Nice Breakfast. Comfy bed and nice hot shower.
Window wasn't double glazed and quite draughty.
The whole place looks amazing, massive garden to explore. Beautiful at night. Room 304 looks over the whole of Birmingham.
Nothing
The bed was very comfortable
The room was a bit "tired"
The looks the gardens and the rooms first class
Can’t fault it
The property was great.
I like everything about it.
A wonderful hotel that takes you back in time, yet remains clean, comfortable, and full of charm. The staff is very kind, and the food in the restaurant is delicious. Extra points for being dog-friendly.
This historic building, in a somewhat-salubrious oasis of outer Birmingham, is a former residence of notable nobility where a guest can experience some bygone-day grandeur with modern comforts!
While the approach to the building is indeed impressive, the helpful staff made one feel welcome and at home. I was upgraded to a room overlooking the fountain, and from where I watched the full moon through the leaded windows! As well as a desk and table, furniture included a set of armchairs with a coffee table, and a chest of drawers. An ironing-board was discreetly stored in the walk-in wardrobe. My room boasts a high specification en-suite with a spacious walk-in shower, and touch-Screen mirror. One could rest back and read indoors all day in such surrounds, yet the view of the walled garden from the Breakfast room is worth getting up for! Additionally, there are formal gardens and a mini orchard to explore nearby, adjoining the hotel and the nearby church of St Mary and St Margaret.
There was nothing not to like!
While occupants next door had left the TV on after midnight one evening, Reception staff rectified this within minutes of being informed. I'd like to thank Peter and his colleagues for such a pleasant stay.
De ligging, de (gratist) parkeergelegenheid en de setting van het hotel!
Op het servies zaten nagenoeg elke ochtendsporen. Waarschijnlijk meteen uit de vaatwasser gehaald en aangevuld.
Lovely old building with great character
N/A
I did not eat breakfast at the hotel.
I had an evening meal in the bar which seemed a little pricey for what it was.
I stayed in the Coach House
There were noise issues from adjacent rooms late on the Saturday night which I expect was due to a wedding party staying overnight.
The noise from overflying aircraft from Birmingham Airport was also noticeable.
