Breakfast and breakfast room was fantastic. Great street for dining options. We also used the lovely lounge downstairs in the evening.
We chose it because it said it offered free parking, and it does, but it’s first come first served. There are limited spots so we missed out but luckily we found a park on the street not too far away.
Lovely Breakfast and choice. Good Location, short walk through Bute Park into the City or could catch a boat from Bute Park to Cardiff Bay.

De locatie was goed. Je kon rechtstreeks het park in lopen naar het centrum.
En het ontbijt was erg goed. Cooked to order met een klein buffet erbij met yoghurt en sap enzo. Vegetarisch full welsh ontbijt. Bediening was heel vriendelijk en het was geen probleem om een andere combinatie te bestellen dan op het menu stond (bijvoorbeeld champignos en toast, een aanrader!)
Het is natuurlijk een oud huis dus het is te verwachten dat het gehorig is en de vloeren kraken, maar het onderhoud en de hygiëne laten te wensen over. We hadden en kamer op de bovenste verdieping dus het was daar erg warm, maar ik durfde de ventilator niet aan te zetten vanwege de dikke laag stof die er op zat.
Daarnaast een hard smal (maar wel kingsize?) bed, veel geluid van de straat, licht vanaf de gang onder de deur door, douchekop vast aan de muur en moeilijk in te stellen watertemperatuur. En overal van die stickers dat het management niet aansprakelijk is.

Breakfast was fantastic with great choice. Room was lovely and bed comfortable but didn't meet requirements as we booked a King Accessible room via Booking.com which we didn't get. We therefore had to try and work our way around what we had. The hotelier worked hard to change rooms for a more manageable one which was really appreciated.
We booked via Booking.com and specifically chose a Kingsize Accessible room as my partner is disabled and it showed on the site it was available. When we got to the hotel we were booked into a room 2 floors up with an inaccessible bath. The hotelier was able to make adjustments to find us a more suitable room on a lower floor with shower but we had to make compromises for this to work.
We really enjoyed staying at this very nice, clean, and well-maintained hotel. The parking was also excellent. Having an Italian gentleman like us at the reception was truly a pleasure.

Definitivamente no es el lugar para una estancia en verano. Teníamos un pequeño ventilador y para el tamaño de la habitación no era adecuado. Entiendo que es una casa antigua, sin embargo el poco sistema de ventilación nos afectó. Quizás en invierno sea hermoso la estancia.
Friendly, clean and welcoming hotel in established avenue in Cardiff. Walk through park gardens and You are right by stadium and shops, bars and restaurants. Nice Breakfast in gentile surroundings.
Will shortly be less relevant as our hot summer fades; but did find room on 3rd floor a little warm. One can open window or use fan. Just adding that for information. No issues otherwise.

Minor thing really - no air conditioning but big fan was available
The building is amazing, and it's a great area to stay in Cardiff. There are lots of independent cafes and restaurants, and it's out of the tourist track. The hotel is literally less than a minute away from the gorgeous Bute Park, and we enjoyed long walks and running there. It's also a very pleasant walk to the city centre. Really, the location is superb!

We only interacted with the staff during breakfast, and they were helpful and courteous.
The building was absolutely boiling, including the room. Even with the window open throughout the night we had trouble sleeping. The provided fan was better at being loud than creating any air flow. I'm sure the central heating was on and on max, which is very bizarre considering the temperature was in the high 20s throughout.
The breakfast was not great: although the menu had everything you would expect, nothing really tasted good. The coffee tasted like instant coffee (the tea was much better). If you are only going to have granola and yogurt you'll be fine though.
