Pros:

Location is exceptional. Breakfast was very good.

Beautiful hotel, excellent staff, great location
Pros:

Excellent and spacious room. I loved the beautiful Bali designs. The staff kindly let me check in early. Good breakfast and cheerful staff. Close to the cove and restaurants.

Different, higher price for car parking than in confirmation and booking deal was not respected. When checked out don’t expect anyone will answer your questions also Security money taken for many days.

Needs updating and maintenance

Location was great, room was spacious, and staff was friendly. Complimentary water and soft drinks in lobby, breakfast was decent

Cons:

Major maintenance and updating is needed. It looks like the furniture and fixtures have not been updated since the ‘70’s. Bathroom lighting inadequate, too dark to put on makeup. Only mirror was in bathroom. Fire alarm system started chirping for new batteries at 4:00 am Room smelled moldy, heating system did not operate, no hot water in kitchen. Had to run water for five minutes to get hot water in the bath.

Absolutely amazing staff and hotel
Pros:

The people helping at Pantai are the cherry on top of this hidden gem. They are always there and willing to help.
Waves could be heard inside the room. And the daily visit from the resident seagull was nice. Just watch your food.
The top floor sun deck has an ab absolutely unbelievable view.

Best Inn in San diego!
Pros:

We had the most incredible anniversary stay at Pantai Inn and we truly can’t wait to come back. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcomed and cared for, which made our special weekend feel even more memorable.

The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, and full of charm, it feels like a hidden tropical escape right in the heart of La Jolla. Our suite was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, with every detail adding to the relaxing, romantic atmosphere. We loved being just steps from the ocean and walking distance to everything.

The little touches really stood out, the warm hospitality, delicious breakfast, and the serene courtyard made it feel intimate and special rather than just another hotel stay. It was exactly what we hoped for to celebrate our anniversary.

My new go to place in San Diego
Pros:

I stayed one night at the Pantai Inn and wholeheartedly recommend it. Location cannot be beaten, in front of the ocean and within 5 minute walking distance to La Jolla shops and restaurants. The rooms were clean, comfortable and functional, and I really loved the outdoor patios in which you can sit and admire the view. Hotel staff were really nice and offered advice on street parking.

Pros:

This hotel is right on the water and a block away from the awesome restaurants and stores of La Jolla. We rented one of the three bed units and we have so much space! We wanted to cook and realized we were missing a pan. The receptionist made sure that he took care of that. Amazing very personal service. This is such a beautiful location and plenty of space for a family with teens. Nice to start the day with the breakfast buffet as well. I highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful relaxing stay
Pros:

Location location! Wake up to the sound of gulls and sea lions. La Jolla restaurants are a short walk away. Also a very nice breakfast to start your day. Friendly staff.

Cons:

Liked everything. We had reserved a hotel parking spot but if not it would have been difficult to find.

We loved everything about the Pantai!
Pros:

We loved the location (close to restaurants and great paths and beaches to walk), the bed was very comfortable and bedding was incredibly soft, and the views from the living room/balcony were amazing. We loved hearing the constant crashing of the ocean waves. We loved the convenience of the breakfast and the style and views of the public areas, and the free cookies, water, pop, coffee and beach towels!

We loved this property and will definitely return.

Delightful inn to return to again and again!!!
Pros:

Location, staff was great, breakfast was included and yummy! Great value for on the beach! Easy walk to restaurants and they provided shuttle service within a 1 mile radius

Cons:

Shower was. It working properly but the manager immediately came to fix it.
