Great spot for cove access in La Jolla
Pros:

Awesome location, with convenient parking, right off the cove. Complementary breakfast and beverages were nice.

Pantai Inn...Not a Good Choice or Experience
Pros:

Yeah...no! We booked the Pantai Inn based on reviews and the "five star" rating. Don't believe everything you read or what you see in the pictures. Professional photos and lighting can make anything look good. In person, it's another story. The "inn" is dated and needs complete renovation. Our room, #222, was musty and dank. While it had a nice view, that's about it. The carpet is old, the bathroom was tiny, smaller that an RV bathroom and the fixtures are mismatched, missing or old and rusty. The good...right on the beach, or at least right across the busy street from the beach. The bad...lots of traffic and noise. The ugly...house keeping dumped a bucket of water on the balcony above ours and soaked me while I was standing on our balcony enjoying the view. For $700 a night you're better off at the Hotel Del Coronado.

Location is outstanding. Decor and staff are wonderful.

Cons:

Bathroom was very small, but a small price to pay for a view of the ocean. Breakfast could have more options. No cappuccino or latte served, which was disappointing.

Amazing breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, excellent location right across the street from the ocean, near seals and sea lions. Free water and soft drinks in lobby, easy free parking near hotel.

Great location and clean hotel
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at Panatti Inn Hotel! The hotel is very clean, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the location is fantastic. If you can, book an oceanfront room with a balcony—the views are absolutely beautiful and make the experience even more special.

The complimentary breakfast was a nice bonus and a great way to start the day. The only downside is that the hotel does not have a pool, but honestly, everything else more than makes up for it.

Overall, this is a great hotel, and we would happily stay here again. Highly recommended!

Glad we picked the Pantai Inn
Pros:

We just ended our stay at Pantai Inn and enjoyed everything about it! The apartment style suite was great for our family and had everything we needed. Location was perfect. The best part was the customer service. All of our needs were taken care of with a smile. Thank you specifically to Norma and Fal for your hospitality. We will be back!

Pantai Inn was perfect for our family!

Pros: great value for this unbeatable location across the street from La Jolla beach and walkable to many delicious restaurants and shopping in downtown La Jolla. Great for families because of their suites with a kitchen, Murphy bed, outdoor deck, and a parking spot. Welcoming staff and unlimited naturally flavored fruit water, bottled water, sodas, homemade cookies in the lobby. Best bacon at a free hotel breakfast ever! Hotel decor has a very relaxing ambience
