Wonderful relaxing stay
Pros:

Location location! Wake up to the sound of gulls and sea lions. La Jolla restaurants are a short walk away. Also a very nice breakfast to start your day. Friendly staff.

Cons:

Liked everything. We had reserved a hotel parking spot but if not it would have been difficult to find.

We loved everything about the Pantai!
Pros:

We loved the location (close to restaurants and great paths and beaches to walk), the bed was very comfortable and bedding was incredibly soft, and the views from the living room/balcony were amazing. We loved hearing the constant crashing of the ocean waves. We loved the convenience of the breakfast and the style and views of the public areas, and the free cookies, water, pop, coffee and beach towels!

We loved this property and will definitely return.

Delightful inn to return to again and again!!!

Location, staff was great, breakfast was included and yummy! Great value for on the beach! Easy walk to restaurants and they provided shuttle service within a 1 mile radius

Protected Private Boutique Hotel
Pros:

Quaint, private property. Nice breakfast and afternoon bar. Everyone at the property worked together to get things done and accommodate guest needs—special drink order, gas fire on rooftop, golf cart ride to local restaurant, and more. The game changer was FAL! He was always anticipating our next need. We met some other guests who felt the same way. The courtyard and the rooftop were great places to congregate. We ordered salad and pizza which was so relaxing! We will return!

Lovely stay in a unique, gorgeous boutique property.
Pros:

Incredible location! Beautiful buildings, landscapes, outdoor seating areas, rooftop outdoor lounge for perfect sunsets! Close to great shops and restaurants. Literally across the street from the ocean. Staff was professional and service focused!

Our new "go to" hotel in LaJolla
Pros:

I tend to be very thorough when I research our family trips, and this hotel seemed to check all the right boxes. As it turned out, it was even better than expected.
This hotel is the polar opposite of a cookie cutter hotel chain. There are several buildings and each room has it's own unique flair. Our room was on the ground floor and our windows and patio provided the most amazing ocean view. Describing our accommodations as a room would be a gross understatement. What we got was a complete luxury apartment. Everything we could possibly want was there. We loved the full size kitchen and gas fireplace. I was impressed by the bathroom tile work that featured a pebble inlay that organically flows from the showerhead to the standing area. The lobby has complementary infused water, bottled water, soda, and cookies. Beautiful ocean views, excellent hot breakfasts every day, with indoor seating. Or you can choose to eat outside in a beautiful courtyard. The atmosphere was amazing. The staff is courteous and attentive.
The location couldn't be better. It is about halfway between Children’s Cove and the sea lions and birds at La Jolla Cove. Directly in front of our room is Coast Blvd and Ellen Browning Scripps Park. A staircase behind the hotel leads up to Prospect St where we found restaurants, boutiques, and treats. One day, we took a short Uber ride to go Kayaking and Snorkeling.
It is a rare thing when daddy gets to be the hero for finding a perfect place for our vacation. Our whole family can’t wait to come again.

Elegant comfort at an awesome location!
Pros:

I like the uniqueness of each room, the Balinese decor, the overall cleanliness, the breakfast… The coffee! And the friendliness of the staff.. I also liked the gas fireplace.

The location was also very good for us as we were visiting relatives. We love walking on the beach and along the ocean walk. Parking was also available for free.

Cons:

The couch was not exceptionally comfortable. But we adapted to that. We could’ve also used a few more dishes and silverware in the kitchen, but, that wasn’t a big deal.

Great location, clean and peaceful
Pros:

The property was super clean with an exceptionally friendly staff. Pantai Inn is located right across the street from the ocean walkway. It’s located a short distance uphill from the restaurants. The roof top terrace was a lovely spot to watch the sunset. There was also nice outside area at street level that was quiet and relaxing. I would definitely stay again.
