The bar….but it was shut
It looked like fawlty towers and hadn’t been cleaned since it was aired!
There was not much to like. Coffee was okay. Lady was nice at the front desk. Helpful with directions.
bed was too soft, spiderwebs everywhere, dirty and worn out rooms , that was charging an excessive amount of money for 2 nights. Very bad state, worn out, bathroom was bad- caulked over moldy areas, floors are warped, painting is peeling, gringy desk and drawers, Breakfast was bad, wrapped processed cheese and butter was not even cooled, j was served but it looked like over date, the salt and pepper shakers were sticky and not cleaned for a long time. Second day we went somewhere else for breakfast.
Nothing
No proper mattress just thick piece of foam with a sheet on top how can this meet fire regs.
Nothing unfortunately
Smallest towel in the world. Mould around bath. No hot water just tepid. Stains on pillow cases. Room extremely tired in decor. Carpet almost threadbare.
Excellent budget hotel very friendly
The hotel was in a good location for my needs also the breakfast provided was good value
The hotel is showing its age and was a little tired
The staff were excellent. Recommended the breakfast for only £5
Comfortable
All was good
Breakfast very good
Needs updating our mattress was like a giant sponge duvet and covers need new ones bath mats very shabby
Location was ok and the receptionist was friendly enough.
The room we stayed in was stuck in the 1970s. The shower was over the bath , the wallpaper was peeling off the wall, there was only one bath towel between the two of us. The sheets and duvets had seen much better days. It was cheaper than other hotels in Southport so we knew it wouldn’t be top notch, but it was still disappointing .
Clean room and comfy wee bed.Had cold showers due to the heat,so cant say I enjoyed a hot one.Good Traditional English breakfast for an extra £5,Cater continental breakfast also.Maria and Marie very good hosts.Tv and wi fi worked ok.Bus to town across the road or 10 to 15 minutes walk.
All was fine.No complaints
Kindly beautiful people
Loved Maria ,lovely French lady, room big ,yes outdated ,but price reflects this .good breakfast ..bed super comfy ,slept like a baby 👶
A little more attention to skirting boards by house keeping ,but a guess he /she has many rooms to clean .😒
Very clean large room. Lovely glass doors to private terrace and the garden.
I loved the skylight in the bathroom
Breakfast for a fiver was great
A bit dated but for the price it's excellent.
Really helpful and friendly staff, and our room with a balcony and garden is fantastic, clean and tidy although a little outdated but that's not a problem, we have really enjoyed our stay, we also had breakfast every day and is really good value for money, pet friendly which is a great thing, we will definitely be booking again for September and really looking forward to seeing the staff and sites of Southport again, Honestly a excellent value for money stay and we rate this hotel 10/10
Friendly and welcoming. Brilliant breakfast.
Bit further from the centre of town than I would usually stay. Easy to reach by bus though.
Good location, decor like from an Agatha Christie novel. Generally clean and quiet.
My stay was during a heatwave. It's not exactly the hotel's fault, but the room was hot and stuffy. They should consider investing is some fans or something.
