A good base for exploring the South Lakes Peninsula

Pros:

Room was large and comfortable. Good location between Cartmel and Grange over Sands.

The water pump was very loud. Whenever anyone took a shower or used water it woke us up.

Lovely stay. We would come back.
Pros:

Lovely staff who let us into the room a bit earlier before heading out again. The inn is very quiet and you wake up to the sound of birds. It was also lovely to see the sea from our window. The room was big, comfortable and warm.

Enjoyed our stay but no rush to go back.
Pros:

At breakfast The mushrooms were cold and the plate but overall the food was lovely. Had dinner and it was lovely.

Cons:

Needs a really good update as hotel very tired.

Recommended,even got a lift into Cartmel for my niece's wedding.

Pros:

Because the rooms offered were not next to each, this was frustrating. However the team immediately solved this with a folding bed, clean linen, all sorted in minutes. The next day they apologised again and provided a lovely breakfast. The hotel is clean, welcoming, the bathrooms good. And the views are lovely.

Great time
Pros:

The rooms were excellent, large and well equipped.
The staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble

Cons:

The outside looked a little run down, but the inside was lovely, the owner explained he had been renovating from the inside first

Great stay with family and four legged friend :-)
Pros:

We stayed for one evening, 3 couples and our German Shepherd. The rooms were lovely, very clean, spacious, with lovely views. We dined in Cartmel in the evening, however, breakfast was lovely - great choices available. All of the staff were fantastic, really helpful and they even gave us a lift to - and back from - the restaurant we ate at as taxis are a bit scarce….! 😊 All in all a lovely hotel and stay. Would we go again..?? ($64M question). Absolutely. (Thanks all…!).
