It was in right place to catch an early Ferry to Ireland. Friendly accommodating staff, able to eat dinner there and get an quite nights sleep before early start next day.
nothing.
Food was poor and overpriced, actually cheaper on the ferry and a better standard, bingo night on so could not a conversation in fear of those involved in bingo hearing you talk
Perfect location in order to catch an early morning ferry the following day.
Friendly greeting upon arrival plus treats and a ball for the dog. Room was spotless clean, bed comfortable, great powerful shower. Ate in the restaurant - food was amazing. Nicki looked after us throughout our dining time, nothing was too much trouble for her. She was friendly and polite. Perfect stay.
Great location for the town and the ferry, with a nice evening stroll along the sea front. Comfortable room and bed with lots of tea/coffee. Friendly staff and excellent food in the restaurant. Quiet in the evening and easy to sleep.
Clean room, good location for what we wanted to do
Very uncomfortable bed, very noisy hotel - we were woken up at 6:30 by the creaking floor boards of the room above. Walls paper thin so you can hear other guests, massively over-priced
Near the harbour. Nice views.

Stayed one night in order to get early ferry next morning. Friendly greeting on arrival. Room was spotless clean, bed very comfortable. Great location. Ate in their restaurant, food lovely.
This is my second stay here and I recommend the hotel for its peaceful location and casual friendliness.
I believe the proprietors recently acquired the property, so improvements may be in the works. I found the electric lighting in my room to fall short of what I would have liked, for instance for reading in bed. Also, though the room had limited space, a chair and desk for computer work would have been handy.
La vue sur le port.
Certains plats proposés au restaurant ne tiennent pas la route et sont trop chers pour la qualité.
Très bon rapport qualité-prix pour le logement
Le Petit-déjeuner non inclus est une arnaque
The staff were super friendly and I can’t fault them at all.
The beds were incredibly squeaky. And the walls between rooms must be paper thin as I could hear the between upstairs and and the rooms next door talking like they were right in my room.
There were no privacy films on the windows and my bedroom looked straight out onto the pub garden. Which meant I had to have the curtains closed at all times which made the room feel real extra small.
Paying an extra £15 ontop of what I’d already paid to have my dog was a little excessive too.
The room was quite tight for 2 single beds and I’ve got two pretty bad bruises on my leg from hitting my leg on the bed frame trying to walk between the bed frame and dresser.
The staff were lovely and the property was clean. It was an ideal location for me getting the ferry in the morning but I was disappointed by the noise. My neighbours weren’t being loud, they were just behaving normally in their rooms. I think the hotel should provide ear plugs to improve the experience for people hoping to get a good night sleep before and after a day of travelling.
Didn’t eat or drink here so can’t comment on food, rooms quirky but clean. Ok. Probably a little over priced for a room only on Saturday night. Could hear people above but had a sea view and didn’t really get disturbed.
A little way out from town and no shops around really but some nice walking areas.
I think for the money I could have got a better b&b.
The hotel has a fawlty hours feel and they acknowledge this in their bedroom info and there’s a fawlty towers book in reception
The hotel is work in progress so got to take this into account
Simple basic rooms but clean and comfortable with good on site parking, Bar and Resteraunt
Good location for ferry port
The view from my room, the food at dinner and breakfast
