Friendly staff
A little dated
Location, bed v comfortable.
Upstairs can hear walking
Leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal
Friendly staff
Good size room
Assessable room for my wife
Sound proof upstairs as floor allows noise especially when guests catch early ferry
Enjoyed the overnight stay before catching the Dublin ferry early next morning, didn't use the bar or facilities so can't really comment.
Just the length of time the bathroom extractor stayed on.
There had been new owners 4 days before our stay. They were so friendly and attentive and so obviously want to make the hotel even better. The food & drink and service were all great. Ok so the hotel itself needs some improvements, but it is clean and comfortable. We will stay there again next time we are in Holyhead.
This is a hotel on the up and the new owners need support to get there.
Very cosy and comfortable hotel. Was perfect for our stay before our ferry. Very dog friendly which we appreciated. Nice bar/restaurant with lovely views and staff were great.
We were very happy with our stay and would stay again. The building is undergoing refurbishment which is probably needed but really didn't bother us. It has character and was clean and comfortable.
Friendly staff, convenient for morning ferry and excellent home cooked curry served in bar which is dog friendly
Nothing
Location.
We were booked for a room with a sea view; however, getting a garden room instead was not a bad experience. We were quite close to the entertainment area, but the noise was not overbearing and stopped at a reasonable hour.
The location was great for the ferry and looked over the harbour. The room was very clean. The staff were especially friendly and helpful.
We thought it was highly priced
Das Essen kann man besser machen.
Location for ferry - room was functional
Could do with a modernisation
Great people at The Boathouse. My son and I used it as a convenience hotel to catch and return from the Holyhead ferry terminal (5 minutes away) so we had 2 nights a week apart and particularly enjoyed the second night's stay as a local folk band was booked as the evening's entertainment - they were terrific! With good meals on offer too we were made very welcome at The Boathouse, thank you.
Nothing!
Great location! It is very close to the ferry and Breakwater Country Park, which was perfect for a nice morning hike with my dog before our departure.
I was specifically promised a ground-floor garden room to make staying with my dog more convenient. However, upon arrival, I was told that room was no longer available. Instead, we were given a room on the second floor that was as far away as possible. Managing a dog and all of our luggage back and forth up the stairs was a real hassle. Very disappointed with how this was handled.
The situation is pleasant and convenient for ferries to Ireland.
Very expensive especially as it didn't include breakfast which was a rip- off. Stayed the previous night in another Booking.com hotel nearby which was also on the coast, was cheaper and included an excellent breakfast. No-one was around to check in and generally the service was very casual. The shower was cold.
