Magaluf - very ruf.
Pros:

Breakfast was poor as it was just pre-7.30 start. Lots of visitors having this problem with early flights. Why not 7.00 breakfast like most hotels?

Cons:

Getting in and out of hotel with car was difficult ultimately because of locked gates and controlled access. Never come across this at a hotel. Locked parking places too were fiddly.
Hotel is faced with scruffy, unpleasant bars and clubs. All the streets and shops are poor, untidy and cheap. Magaluf is what it has been known as: a sad joke. This is at odds with the rest of Mallorca which is hugely attractive and smart.
Samos Hotel has all the feel of a holiday factory: a huge, unattractive dining room, a huge noisy bar area. Our room was on the ground floor and opened directly on the pool area. Privacy? Going out onto our 'patio area' for the first time and all we could hear was a bingo session running nearby. It is very difficult to find anything positive about Hotel Samos. Staff were genuinely friendly.

Alles in allem hat uns der Aufenthalt gefallen, wobei wir dieses Hotel nicht wieder buchen würden.
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels ist ausgezeichnet! Die Gegend hat für jeden etwas zu bieten. Das Zimmer war sauber und gut ausgestattet - mit TV, Kaffeemaschine und Wasserkocher, inkl. Kapseln und Teebeuteln, sowie einem Kühlschrank. Auch der relativ große Balkon war klasse. Die zwei Einzelbetten waren ebenfalls ok. Eine Klimaanlage war auf dem Zimmer vorhanden. PKW Parkplätze gibt es nur gegen Gebühr (10€ / Tag).

Cons:

Gebucht hatten wir ein Panorama Premium Zweibettzimmer mit Meerblick. Ein Panorama hat es durchaus gegeben - nur war es leider ein Panorama der vor das Samos gebauten Hotels. Der Begriff "Meerblick" ist Auslegungssache. Ja, man konnte das Meer weiter weg auf einem sehr schmalen Streifen oberhalb der Hotels erkennen, aber mit einem Panorama Premium Zweibettzimmer mit Meerblick hatte das nichts zu tun, zumal das Zimmer auch noch klein war. Für 3 Tage ok. Die Fotos des Hotel sind gekonnt präsentiert.

Ebenfalls enorm störend ist die extreme (!) Hellhörigkeit der Zimmer. Wenn im Nebenzimmer gesprochen oder telefoniert wird hat man das Gefühl, dass die Person/en unmittelbar neben einem stehen. Besonders zur Schlafenszeit ist das äusserst ruhestörend. Gleiches gilt für die Toilettenspülung der jeweils über dem eigenen Zimmer liegenden Etagen (bei uns 8 und 9). Diese hört man fast genau so laut wie die eigene WC-Spülung. Alle paar Minuten rauscht es. Zudem hat es im Zimmer mitunter nach Abfluss gerochen. Hier half intensives Lüften.

Restaurant und Essen:

Das Essen ist grundsätzlich oke, wenngleich nicht wirklich hochwertig. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist vertretbar - mehr aber auch nicht. Was jedoch schlichtweg unhygienisch ist, dass kaum einer der frisch ausgelegten Teller und Bestecke sauber abgewaschen waren. Nahezu jeder Teller den wir in die Hand nahmen, hatte noch irgendwelche Saucenflecken oder war sogar noch klebrig. Nicht lecker!

Dass das ausgelegte Essen nahezu täglich etwa 10 bis 15 Minuten vor Beendigung der eigentlichen Speisezeiten abgebaut wurde, konnte man umgehen, indem man etwas früher zum Essen ging. Weshalb man so früh beginnt das Essen abzuräumen, mochte niemand beantworten. Das Personal in den Gastronomiebereichen wirkte ohnehin nicht übermotiviert - war aber auch nie unfreundlich.

Die Hotelgäste zu unserer Reisezeit hatte leider weitestgehend ihre Kinderstube zuhause vergessen.

Sinceramente no me ha gustado que entrarán dos veces a la habitación antes de las 11 avisando que se tenía que dejarla antes de ese horario. No me gustado las maneras
