Cons:

Avoid booking this hotel.

I checked into New Hotel Kabalana but ended up leaving after the first night and didn’t stay for the rest of my reservation. Right after checking out, I requested a cancellation and a refund for the unused nights.

Since then:

The hotel has stopped replying completely
Booking.com tried to reach them but got no response
All follow-up attempts have been ignored

At this point, I’ve had to open a dispute with my bank regarding the charge for nights I didn’t use.

This isn’t about personal preference, it’s about being charged for something I didn’t use and receiving zero communication from the hotel.

Based on this experience, I would strongly reconsider booking here.

Great place but old, terrible WiFi and door cards that won't stay working
Pros:

Great place overall, nice facilities and good location.

Cons:

The property seems quite old and shows its age in several areas. The internet connection is terrible — very slow and unreliable. The door key cards kept demagnetizing every 5 minutes, which was really inconvenient. It was fine for the stay but I would not come back.

The room has a strong smell, the elevator was not working and the place was overcrowded during my stay

Some stores in area were not very welcoming, especially for those who are on long stay. As result shopped and ate at US k own stores and restaurants.
