I enjoyed how convenient it was to the city. We were able to leave our car parked and we walked to town to do business.
I didn’t like the air condition shooting straight to the bed while sleeping. I would have preferred it blowing to the opposite end instead of across to the bed.
Also, they have a kitchen and pots and pans and plates etc but no table and chairs to sit and enjoy our cooked meal. Maybe a two seated table and chairs to sit would have been nice.
Big spacey rooms,
Location
Views of harbor.
Safe
Staff were good
The bathroom needs a good clean up. Tiles and grout needs cleaning .
No laundry at premises for guest.
Internet was so slow in rooms.
If comfortable walking on those streets then the hotel is relatively close to the main shopping area which is nice... The receptionist was friendly.
Location - on a dodgy street you have to walk past derelict buildings and building sites.
Room - small, the bathroom was a bit dirty. Also, the Air Conditioning is not something you should expect: you do not get given an AC remote, I had to go down to reception to request how to turn mine on. The receptionist came back with a remote to turn it on, only to say that I cannot keep it and that there is only one that works which is shared between all rooms!
Bed - looked okay, but after sleeping in it I found bed bugs! Luckily I didn't take any away with me but I did leave feeling itchy...
The rooms were well appointed, and the hotel is in a very convenient location.
The free-wifi was largely un-useable
The room was large and comfortable. The beds were excellent, and the cleaning staff was amazing. The views from our room were great, overlooking Suva harbour. The location was central but a bit steep for us.
We are seniors, so walking up to the hotel was hard. The internet was not up to scratch, but all in all, I actually liked the place.
Nothing this time.
The lady who we met at the counter was so unfriendly and rude, she just upsetted our mood for the night. We were so excited to stay there but she just put us off. Plus no smile on any of the staff. We felt as if we were in the very wrong place. Smelly bathroom as well. We would have enjoyed far much better if she had greeted and talked to us nicely.. she definitely needs a refresher.
Liked the clearness's and friendly staff
The hotel standards of both accommodation and service have dropped significantly. Where they used to value guests - that’s gone. I don’t blame the staff but do hold management accountable. It was a very hot day; they had beautiful and large ceiling fans however, these weren’t in operation. When I asked staff why they weren’t being used, they simply said management had prohibited use of the fans to cut down on costs! For goodness sakes - the poor security guard as well as the receptionist were visibly uncomfortable and sweating profusely. What are the fans for then, if not to provide coolness for even the guests who book, let alone staff! Then, we were taken to one of the worst rooms I’ve ever seen in that place. It hadn’t been aired or used in months judging by the stale air inside it. I was told not to open the windows so I turned the aircon on. It started off alright then as soon as I got into bed for the night, it made an awful noise then commenced blowing hot air into the room. I couldn’t adjust the temperature so I gave up and checked out. I’m NEVER returning there until management starts treating their staff with respect and proper care. Staff should know that needing a job doesn’t mean having to tolerate stringent conditions - get a better job!
Reduce the micromanagement of staff. Update the musty rooms and fix the air cons.
Everything
Nil
It was in walking distance to the bus station, only 700 metres. But it was a steep uphill walk for the last 100 metres.
The hotel is at the top of the hill.
There is nothing to eat at the hotel so you have to go back down the hill if you need food. And if you arrive late there isn’t much open to find something decent to eat except The Wishbone restaurant that is open until 11pm.
A nice big bed and a kitchenette in my room.
Good aircon
The swimming pool looked nice. But didn’t use it.
Very close to the shopping areas and department stores
The staff as always in Fiji are really helpful.
I was on the second floor and there is nothing lift! But someone will help you take your bags. But after coming up the hill I just could carry my bags any longer.
The room was clean and the bathroom was sort of clean but looked like it needed a good scrub
The location was great, the staff Maria and Salote were so lovely and always smiling and was very helpful during our stay..And also the Room attendant did a good job in cleaning our room.
The room we stayed had bed bugs, under the bed were filthy and gross. And the towels were like rags, the bed sheets looked dirty. It was disgusting and made it worse we had a rat ran into our room.I was not happy at all with the Manager's attitude, the indian old ady at the reception was so mean and cruel. We could hear her ranting at her workers which was so unprofessional.
I would never recommend to anyone or my family to stay there.
