Great London hotel
Pros:

Great hotel amenities and location! Close to Westminster Avery, Big Ben, parliament, and Buckingham palace. Short walk to Piccadilly. Would definitely start again and highly recommend. Rishita in the breakfast dining area was so helpful. The blue boar was delicious

Cons:

The room has a constant sound of a door slamming which is coming from below. It started at 6 am and was until 11 pm in every 5-10 minutes. When I said this during checkout, without any emotion, I was just told that next time I should ask for a room in a different part of hotel. I don't know how would I guess this, but there won't be a next time...

Other than this, breakfast was nice, room was ok and comfy.

Five stars all the way for Conrad St. James London. The hotel is beautiful and perfectly located for exploring London, but what really makes it special is the people.

A special thank you to Paul at Pem for the outstanding breakfast service each morning. He was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming—exactly the kind of hospitality that makes you feel taken care of when you’re traveling. Paul remembered details, anticipated what we needed before we even asked, and started our day on such a positive note. It’s rare to find service that feels both polished and personal, and Paul absolutely delivered.

We’ll definitely be back.

Excellent service and great location
Pros:

Sevice levels in this hotel are absolutely outstanding--from the doormen and front desk, to restaurants and housekeeping, everyone was superior. The location is excellent and convenient for exploring London. So much is within a short walk and the Tube station across the street got us to places a little further than our feet wanted to walk. We've stayed at several hotels in London, but will certainly be a repeat guest here based on our wonderful experience.

Excellent and comfortable 3 night stay here.

Little hiccup at the start but soon rectified by excellent reception staff.

We welcomed an upgrade to a junior suite room 445 before arrival which had a super comfy bed and a turn down service which was a nice touch.
The only thing I found disappointing was a lack of full length mirror. I found it quite difficult to dry and style hair. (Can’t plug in bathroom) The only mirror was where the coffee machine was and this was very restrictive.

Exec lounge had a good selection of drinks and nibbles. It did get busy at weekend but this is expected. The staff here were always polite and welcoming.

Breakfast was superb with a grand selection of fresh fruits, pastries and hot food. staff were attentive and very happy.
It would have been a little better with a higher standard of English breakfast tea. The one used is tasteless and weak. I do take my own teabags when travelling (typical English person) but I thought due to hotel being a 5* I wouldn’t have too on this occasion.

Hotel is opposite St James tube station so brilliant for commuting into London.

Would happily stay here again

Excellent 3 night stay

Excellent from start to end … well almost
Assigned a room and when got there someone was already in it - by this they should have checked out but didn’t and left bags in

Quickly rectified by very apologetic staff and given a complimentary dinner in the restaurant

Sometimes things go wrong - but to rectify it quickly is the sign of excellent service.

We got upgraded before arrival as diamond members so again excellent attention to detail pre arrival

Room was lovely - the evening turn down service also nice

Exec lounge had big selection of snacks although can get busy during the evening drinks - but we found somewhere to sit each time

Overall an excellent stay and would stay again

Needs to try harder

I am in this hotel as I write. Hilton lifetime diamond member and everything is just a bit…rubbish.

On check in the lady behind reception was very keen to walk me to the lift. Nice touch but a 5 year old could have worked that out. What would have been more useful to me was an explanation of the executive lounge offering and some water in my room - both of which I had to seek out.

Room is probably the worst in the hotel. A good 5 min walk from lift and overlooking a wall. Fair enough, it was booked late, but some recognition and an apology for not being able to do better would be appropriate.

in the evening, exec lounger was over crowded to the point of being not enjoyable. I decided to cut my losses and head to the blue boar bar/restaurant. No idea how the food is because I won’t order. Despite there being at least 5 empty tables to my count the “gentleman” at the door refused to seat me anywhere other than in the corridor or on my own at the bar. Very poor service and Hilton should be ashamed by the way their most loyal customers are treated - classic case of trying to hide the lone female customer in the corner- really not ok in 2026

The staff team is consistently excellent. They are our primary reason for return visits.
