A boutique Hotel with comfortable & clean rooms. Staff are friendly & very helpful with local knowledge.
The building n the staff
Old, not very comfy bed
The staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly. The hotel is just a short walk from the excellent and safe Quito metro. Breakfast was good and there is a nice garden courtyard. The bed was comfortable and the room looked out onto their garden courtyard.
An additional roll of toilet paper in the room would have been nice, but the staff would have given me one if I had asked.
Excellent breakfast: fresh cut fruit, fresh juice, fresh brewed coffee, made-to-order eggs, granola and fresh yogurt, toast and whipped butter and jam. Staff was friendly and engaging and recommended places to eat and things to do. Lovely parquet floors and colonial interiors. Nice outdoor sitting garden.
Great location - near a beautiful park and the fantastic Metro, making it easy to get around.
The staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is good - eggs, toast, cereal, fresh fruit, tea and juices.
Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Very helpful and considerate with a very good breakfast and drinking water available.
We stayed for 2 nights in this hotel as part of our Intrepid tour. It is very centrally located, great restaurants nearby and just 2 easy metro stops from the Old Town. The hotel was the former British Embassy in Quito. The staff were so lovely, rooms were great, a good breakfast, filter water for bottles and we could leave luggage here while on our trip to Galapagos before we continued our travels. An ideal hotel for Quito. Top rated.
A wonderful hotel - within walking distance of the Central Park, the cultural centre, artisanal markets, and numerous places to eat. The new metro system close by also makes Quito old town and the bus terminals more easily accessible.
The staff at the hotel are very friendly and speak good English.
The rooms are clean - and there is usually plenty of hot water for showers!!!
You get a hearty breakfast to set you up for the day - muesli, fresh fruit, toast, eggs cooked to your choice.
I would highly recommend this hotel!!
This hotel is full of charm and in a great location. Staff were always very helpful. Rooms were quite spacious and clean. Breakfasts were great.
Friendly team. Very helpful. Left excess requirements in storage while on another tour. Beautiful breakfasts.
Very clean, well looked after hotel in the old British Embassy.
The historical building in which the hotel occupies (the former British embassy) was gorgeous with a pleasant court yard and furnishings. The room was clean, comfortable, secure, and well maintained. Only drawback was the hot water takes a while to come through on the shower. The service was friendly, courteous, and always helpful. Breakfasts were simple but satisfying. The cultural museum was just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel and many great restaurants with a variety of options were within 10-15 minutes walk. The historical heart of the city is about a half hour walk away. Would choose again when in Quito.
Clean, friendly, good location close to metro. Breakfast was good too. A cute, convenient place to stay in Quito. Very fair price.
This modest but comfortable hotel is a mainstay for Intrepid Travellers in Quito. The staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful and having spent 7 nights there I can recommend it to anyone traveling on a restricted budget. The Garden setting is lovely.
A wonderful family run hotel. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble.
The hotel in general is spotlessly clean, and the rooms are beautiful.
It’s situated outside the old city, but the old city is only one Metro stop away.
I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Quito.
