If you are looking for bare minimum accommodations this is your place. The beds are comfortable. The staff is helpful. The location is great. It's a great neighborhood with lots to do. However, you do have to leave your room key at the front desk every time you leave. The bathroom was not clean our first night.
Clean and quiet! Nice staff! It is a family-owed place and makes you feel very homy.
Fue una estadía tranquila
No tenía agua caliente!
This $112USD room felt more like a $50-75 room. Rooms are very small, dusty and simple. It would be much better if the price was more reasonable.
Café da manhã caro, sem reposição.
Quarto e banheiro muito pequenos.
This tiny hotel is located in a beautiful, quiet neighbourhood, Providencia. It is decorated in an artisanal style -- plain but very clean and moderately priced. It was likely a house which was converted into an inn so the rooms are small. It is close to scores of great restaurants, cafes and good shopping. Be sure to double check your reservation as there was an error on ours. Also we were asked to pay when we checked in and then asked to pay again when we checked out! We had kept the receipt so we were ok.
Pros: Great little ethnic-style decor place on a budget! Lovely front patio cafe with truly delicious, generous portions - had an excellent dinner!! ... ceviche (enough for a meal) as a starter and a sautéed Chilean sea bass with calamari on top and a salad of avocado, cucumber, tomato, fennel and delicate bib lettuce! Also a backyard patio to relax shaded by trees and an elegant white fabric strewn in a tent like way.
Caveat - I didn't try breakfast due to early morning plans every day.
Front desk and cafe staff very helpful and friendly with a bit of English to be understood! Much appreciated!
Rooms clean with private large modern shower and sink, large flat screen TV and AC, that open to patio.
On quiet safe-residential street but only a 10 min walk to major shopping mall - Costanero, Starbucks and other hotels, cafes, metro, bus stops, bike rentals, city tour buses, etc in the Providencia area of the city.
Cons: rooms a bit too dark, lighting was on the dim side, and almost overslept due to cellphone plugged in to charge in a power strip that apparently did not provide current! Cellphone was NOT charged! I was able to charge the next night via a different outlet in the bathroom. The bed was so-so: not as comfortable or new feeling, the pillow feathers felt a bit prickly but there was a 2nd pillow on the bed that was fine.
All in all, a real find on a budget in terms of great location (felt like a local resident), very good dinner, and modern bathroom! The feel/environment is like a better quality hostel.
I would go back!
This was one of the nicest hotels we stayed in in all of Chile.
This little hotel is located in the best area of Santiago. It is in a quiet and upscale residential and very safe neighborhood but in EZ walking distance to the Metro, shopping, cafes, and restaurants. The facilities are clean and comfortable. Owned and operated by a mother and son team, they work hard to accommodate any request of the guests. Stayed there for 2 weeks on vacation and loved it. A great location at a great price.
its very well located, the staff members are extremly helpfull and nic, they made me feel at home! The internet wifi wasnt that great at the second floor but it was ok.
I would totally stay again in Intiwasi, it was a great experience, I really felt like I was home.
This is a budget hotel for those who need a clean place to sleep and a decent quick breakfast in the morning. Since I travel on business and on a budget, this place is ideal for me because it is just yards away from my rep's office. It's an old house converted to a hotel in a nice neighborhood in Santiago. Sure beats the $200/night hotel a couple of blocks away I used to stay, and that shall remain nameless, and that hiked the rate to almost $300 when I was there coinciding with he Copa America 2015 soccer tournament. Thanks to that... I found this jewel.
This is a wonderful little hotel, the service is extremely good, my room had everything you need and more, location is excellent, parking my rented car was easy and secure. It has a restaurant that on week days serve home food.
I came to Santiago for a short meeting and I needed a good sleep. The Intiwasi met the expectatives! Nice and large bed in a very cozy upstairs room. The bathroom had a correct size and they provided the necessary amenities.
The breakfast was fine, I only had some coffee and cake, but it was varied.
The staff was corteous and willing to help (specially the night shift recepcionist,). Very recommendable, I'll come back the next time.
I stayed here for a few days in November 2014. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the room clean and comfortable. The breakfast was okay - not the best, but overall I thought the hotel was excellent value for money. The location (Providencia) is good - it's in a quiet mainly residential area with good transport links into the centre.
We stayed here three nights at the end of our trip to Argentina and Chile. The first night, we stayed in Barrio Bellavista, where it was noisy all night and difficult to sleep, so we changed locations. Providencia is a comfortable and safe neighborhood for travelers, and Intiwasi, though just a short walk from the main boulevard, is peaceful and quiet. Our ample room was beautifully appointed in traditional colors with weavings and art from the Andes. The bathroom was also roomy and well-designed. Best of all was our gracious host, Victoria, who went out of her way to assist us, even making phone calls to various places on our behalf when we had some problems to sort out. She made us feel very welcome and at ease. It was the perfect place to be to finish up our three weeks in South America.
