Sura Design Hotel and Suites - Boutique Class

It was wonderful having access to the sister hotel to enjoy the pool, gym and breakfast as well as lovely courtyard space.
Staff, notably Fatemah at Reception, Nazil, at breakfast and our cleaner, Tita were excellent.
The room was lovely, but sachets were not replaced and greater attention would have been appreciated there. There was only one drawer above the fridge and my husband did not unpack as no space for clothes.
The hotel is brilliantly placed to see the major sights.

The hotel was lovely and in a really good area to access tourist attractions. The staff were very friendly and hospitable. The room was large and clean. Sraff celebrated our anniversary by giving us some treats in the room which was very kind. The breakfast was basic but nice. We enjoyed our stay here and would retun back to this hotel if we were in istanbul again.

Great service, breakfast, the waiters were hard working and superb. Rooms were clean and fresh. Place was close to everything we could ask for.

I booked through Expedia for two adults, two kids, after 20+ hours of flight, we were told that the check-in said they only saved one room for us which only have one king size bed. Front desk staff seems irritated with a question I didn’t have any option in the last minute, I wouldn’t book this hotel again. Food around this hotel is extremely expensive almost triple the price than the regular restaurant.

The pool is lovely, the gym has is small but enough considering your on a holiday. The breakfast variety is good and the breakfast staff always polite and helpful. The showers are lovely. Location is very close to Hagia Sophia. The reception staff are very supportive and kind. Onsite restaurant is expensive.

Staff was great. Room was great and a great value for the money. The area is EXCELLENT though. Safe and near everything (also near the tram). The restaurants nearby are super friendly and really we could have just stayed on our own street and been super happy. Will definitely be coming back and that’s rare for me to say. ;)

The hotel is in a great area, which was the one real positive. Unfortunately, the overall experience left much to be desired. Upon arrival, I found women’s hair on the bed – a basic cleanliness issue that should never be overlooked.

The biggest issue happened during checkout. I intended to call a trusted, honest taxi driver we had used earlier, but the hotel staff insisted on calling their own driver. I agreed only on the condition that the driver would offer a fixed price. Halfway to the airport, the driver suddenly doubled the fare and pressured us to pay it, falsely claiming we were going to be late. We had 5 hours before our flight and plenty of time — it was clearly a scam.

I tried contacting the hotel multiple times after this incident, hoping for at least an acknowledgment, but received no response at all. Poor service, no accountability, and a lack of basic hygiene made this a very disappointing stay. I would not return and cannot recommend this hotel based on my experience.

The location of the hotel is very central and close to all main attractions, which is convenient. But it’s also very crowded and sometimes feels overwhelming . Hotel is very cute , rooms are small and not very clean . That floor carpet needs to be cleaned or better replaced. Food at breakfast was below average and service is ok. Front desk staff however were very nice .
Personally, I wouldn’t stay there again.

Convenient for visiting the tourist sites, but wish we had stayed at a nicer hotel in Galatea and just taken the tram (which is cheap and easy) to the tourist sites. Bathtub in room leaked and flooded half the room. The room looked onto the ‘winter garden’ area of the hotel where there is a charcoal grill chimney, room always smelled very strongly of charcoal. Bed was fine but pillows are old. Rooftop restaurant has a nice view but expensive and poor food (dips were served with tortillas from the supermarket, which in a place like Istanbul which has amazing local breads, is just lazy and ripping off your guests).
