Could have been great
Pros:

Quiet room (except for AC unit)

Cons:

Breakfast was "over" an hour before the time set as there was no more hot food. AC in the room made noise all day and night.

Pros:

Nice property in a convenient location for easy in and out access.

Cons:

Our two bedroom suite was nice and roomy and was very well kept with the exception for the furniture in the living room area. It was very stained up and soiled, especially the red chair. It honestly looked and smelt like it had been urinated in and not properly cleaned or sanitized. We told the front desk and the only response we received from them was apologies and they would make note of it. No offer of switching it out or removing it from the room which was disappointing for the price we paid for a one nights stay.

It was very pleasant
Pros:

The staff who checked us in and all throughout the hotel were very friendly. The staff worked with us and gave us a late check out with no problem and shared great places for us to find food and things to do while here. We would come and stay again.

Pros:

I cancelled after the “free cancellation” time by a couple hours. I knew I wouldn’t get my entire amount back but it stated online that I would have to forfeit one nights stay plus taxes and fees. That sucks- but okay I’m fine with that. Nothing I could do. The gal on the phone was nice and said thanks she would take care of it.

I checked my bank the next day and They took the entire amount.

It took four days and multiple calls to the property before they would refund me. The property manager said they were doing me a favor by refunding me (minus one nights stay) for part of the amount.

It was very frustrating to deal with not being heard and then being talked to like they were doing a favor for me. When really they were following their cancellation policy.

If you cancel- make sure you follow up and ensure they aren’t nickel and diming you.

WWII event
Pros:

We were here for the WWII reenactment. We always stay here. The only complaint that I have is the TV in the sitting area did not work. The ones in the bedrooms worked fine.

Disappointment
Pros:

We have been staying here since it opened. Convenient to visiting family etc. Area is safe, etc. Have never had an issue staying here . On our last visit , the lobby smelled Iike marijuana. When we asked the clerk if this bothered her she said no. Later when we came down she had sprayed the area with air freshener. Pool was closed. The hotel is starting to get rundown. In need of an update. This hotel is needed in Vincennes, so hopefully they’ll improve it soon.
