Important information:

From 1st January 2023, a tourist tax of RM 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is not included in the room rate and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Effective 1 June 2014, the Penang State Government will be imposing a fee of MYR 3 per room per night, payable directly to the hotel upon check-in.

Save yourself the literal headache and go somewhere with better cleanliness
Cons:

The room had no ventilation and smelled simultaneously of mould/dust and also of bleach/cleaning products and gave us a headache. The staff was nice enough to show us some alternative rooms - one had a window but was boarded up and they all had the same stuffy smell. We left immediately and didn't get any compensation.

Cons:

Stained linens, stained walls, nearby bar plays music until 1:30 AM making sleep difficult, no adjustable shower head. No lift/elevator. This place is affordable, but I found it cramped and unpleasant. It's fine for an overnight stay as a solo traveler, but anything longer would be very unpleasant.

Attenzione, foto su Booking non corrispondono a quello che vi aspetta. Sporco dappertutto. Muffa sui muri, ti rubava il respiro.Lenzuola sembravano usate, nel water tracce di sporco...confrontando lo staff della struttura con la truffa continuava a mentire dicendo che quelle camere (mostrate su Booking) erano tutte occupate e rimaste solo le nostre.
Un incubo. Abbiamo subito abbandonato l' hotel...anche perdendo i soldi.
