Hotel is not where Expedia’s maps place it, it is about 1 km away, not close to the bus stop or any of the restaurants/bars. Would give zero stars if possible, the management didn’t care that they had placed the hotel in a much better location than it actually is on the booking site.

Simple and clean hotel just off the busiest part of old-town Tbilisi with super kind and helpful hosts. The perfect location if you want something quiet, but close to everything in Sololaki, Mtatsminda and Vera, which was all reachable by foot or short taxi ride.

Nice and quiet place for the one who is seeking peace, 15 min from center.
It was okay for a very last minute booking. Staff was not friendly and I was with a friend and we both had very early flights. I left before, and a staff member instead of asking me when leaving, went to the room and opened while my friend was still asleep and almost had an heart attack! How irresponsible!

The Hotel Diplomat was what I needed: an inexpensive hotel for a week in a quiet area. The staff was very helpful. Please note that the hotel is on the top of a hill. Mini-buses run regularly to the hotel, but be sure to figure out the number of the buses and where they stop, as walking up the hill is difficult.
I stayed one night on a business trip. Check in took less than a minute and check out was even quicker! I handed the key and he wished me a good day, DONE!
Air conditioning worked properly and bed sheets were clean. the room was so quiet with high sleep quality.
