Pros:

Wellness Bereich mit Sauna ist modern, sehr sauber und schön und bei unserem Aufenthalt nutzbar in der Zeit von 15-19 Uhr. Ein Bademantel und Saunahandtuch Set konnte man für 10€ pro Person dazu nehmen. Frühstück war super lecker und vielfältig und das Personal wirklich freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Für den Preis habe ich wesentlich mehr erwartet, aus diesem Hotel könnte man wesentlich mehr machen

Das Ambiente ist dem Anwesen entsprechend. Wunderschöne Lage und Parkanlage.

Cons:

Das Frühstück war ok, aber nichts was man nicht in jedem standard Hotel auch bekommt. Das Ambiente ist dem Anwesen entsprechend, allerdings ist das Bad aus den 70ern, hier könnte man modernisieren. Geduscht wurde in einer Badewanne, ohne Abgrenzung (Vorhang, Glaswand) zum Badezimmer. Dementsprechend war das ganze Bad nass wenn man nicht extrem aufgepasst hat. Das Spa konnten wir nicht besuchen, da es nur von 15:00 bis 19:00 geöffnet hat. Beim checkout wurden nochmal 10EUR für zwei Tage Parken verlangt. Für fast 500EUR für zwei Tage, erwarte ich wesentlich mehr.

Would stay again!
Pros:

Magical stay in a beautiful castle! I ate the best meal I have ever had in the restaurant and the breakfast buffet was extensive and tasty! My husband said he had the best eggs! It was just a lovey stay, but book a taxi ahead of time as it’s difficult to reach them if you arrive in the evening. Go into Eschwege as it is a picturesque town with a very helpful tourist center.

Wir haben diese Unterkunft gebucht, da wir gerne für unsere Auszeit einen Wellnessbereich nutzen wollten. Leider wurden wir sehr enttäuscht, da die Sauna aufgrund eines Defekts nicht genutzt werden konnte. Dies erfuhren wir erst, als wir uns am ersten Morgen für die Sauna anmelden wollten.
Die Nutzung der Hotelterrasse ist leider wenig einladend gestaltet. Da ein Zugang tagsüber nur auf Nachfrage durch das geschlossene Restaurant möglich ist und die Terrasse von außen mit einer Kette als geschlossen gekennzeichnet wird.
Im Restaurant hatten wir ein 3-Gänge-Menü, das Essen war sehr gut und der Service war zu Beginn ebenfalls sehr zuvorkommend. Während unserer Hauptspeise kam eine größere Gruppe ins Restaurant. Ab diesem Zeitpunkt wurden wir vom Service weitestgehend ignoriert, so dass wir über eine Stunde auf die Nachspeise warteten. Die Nachspeise war sehr gut, in einer dieser Speisen befand sich allerdings ein Stück Frischhaltefolie oder ähnliches, dies teilten wir dem Personal beim Gehen mit, worauf uns gesagt wurde, dass dies nicht sein könne und die Tatsache daraufhin keiner weiteren Beachtung geschenkt wurde.
Aufgrund dieser Reaktion haben wir uns entschlossen, die weiteren Schritte über Expedia als Vermittler laufen zu lassen, hierbei war Expedia sehr zuvorkommend, vom Hotel wurde ein Entgegenkommen abgelehnt.

Skuffelse og en meget dårlig oplevelse
Pros:

Efter en uge på på rejse igennem Tyskland ville vi opleve et slotsophold i skoven, hvor der var ro og også spa inkluderet.
Ved tjek ind, fik vi besked på at spa afdelingen var lukket!
Dertil oplyste de at deres restaurant var fuldt booket af selskab!
Så stod vi meget skuffet tilbage og vidste at der var langt til byen for aftensmaden og vores forventninger til et spa ophold var bristet!
Hvis vi var blevet oplyst at spa afdelingen var lukket inden ankomst? Var oplevelsen havet været os foruden, da det var blevet aflyst.
Dårlig kundeservice og for os et dyrt ophold uden andet end et værelse med morgenmad. Det dyreste af alle vores hoteller på rejsen.
Vi kørte derfra med en stor skuffelse og en rigtig dårlig oplevelse i bagagen :-(

Ps. Hvis jeg ville booke samme slot i dag?
Står der stadigvæk at der er spa til rådighed?
Det er da bondefangeri udover alle grænser.
