Patong Hemingway's Hotel

We Stayed at Hemingways in May 2025.
We found the hotel staff to be very helpful, and the Rooms were clean and very comfortable.
The Hotel is well situated and very well priced in s great area.
My wife and I will most certainly book agsin, thankyou.

A great option for a stay at Patong Beach.

A good location close to Bangla Road, but not noisy at all.

A friendly and swift check in, with good sized rooms and good WiFi

Rooftop pool is great for relaxing and the breakfast buffet has a good selection

I recently spent my 2nd week in Patong here and can say it exceeded my expectations. The hotel was well-maintained and the beds were very comfortable. There was exceptional service from the staff who were very friendly and helped us with all of our requests. I would not hesitate to stay here again for future visits.

Fantastic trip to Phuket made extra special by the staff and customer experience at Hemingways.

Nothing was too much trouble given our crazy itinerary and requests. The level of customer service was both Heroic and Legendary and I would highly recommend this hotel for its friendly and efficient. Great for couples, groups and families.

Die Unterkunft befindet sich ca 400 Meter von der Bangla Road und 1000 Meter vom Strand entfernt.
Der Pool ist sauber mit super Liegen.
Leider hatte die Bar am Pool nicht offen.
Das Zimmer ist für die Patong Umgebung gut.
Leider war der Hotelsafe nicht nutzbar - ein zweiter Hotelsafe wurde eingebaut - man hätte diesen jedoch ohne viel Kraftaufwand aus dem Schrank reißen und mitnehmen können.
Die Betten sind extrem hart - für mich aber ok gewesen. Im Badezimmer gab es den ein oder anderen Defekt - welcher jedoch zeitnah behoben wurde.
Alles in allem empfehlenswert wenn man nicht auf Luxus steht.
Umgebung ist extrem belebt, jedoch ist das Zimmer in eine ruhige Sackgasse gemündet.

The mattress is hard that we can feel the springs during our sleep. This was rectified on our second nite, thankfully. TV reception is not good … not clear, unlike the HD resolution of others.

DONT BOOK HERE!!!! WARNING!!! Called Expedia every other day to see if they could help me get out of this property and they weren’t able to help. I flew over 20 hours to go to Thailand and book this hotel based off of the amenities and photos. Pool is dirty and there is not a rooftop bar. They are using old pictures from six years ago and I have told Expedia that but they still have this property on here. Mattress feels like a boxspring, and if you don’t have a room with the balcony, you’re going to feel like you’re in jail I have so much more I have to say, but I’m over it and may have to deal with it legally.

Good budget hotel, beds are average but its great firnwhat it is, staff are great

Tok veldig lang tid og sjekke inn. Ble lovet kl 13. så 14 men fikk ikke rommet føre 15 selv om innsjekk var kl 14. veldig harde senger. Basseng på toppen av hotellet som var veldig møkkete.veldig behjelpelig ansatte. Var greit for tre dager

Poolen var inte ren, gick ej att bada.

Was a quick Stay to sleep before a flight, was friendly and quick check in. Close to walk around and a great burger bar at the end of the road.

It the 4-th time there and is ok if you want to be in a midlle of the patong area from phuket island. You have everything in that area !is cheap and quality / price is ok ! If you eat there is ok and good!

I stayed for one night there. First of all i must say about location is perfect. Room & washroom was good and clean. Staffs were also behaved very well.

Lobby is very tiny. Elevator was terrible, sensor doesn't work properly. Except this elevator problem, everything was good.

Hotel tucked away so away from noise yet within few minutes walk of most of the restaurants and bars.
Staff were amazing and very friendly and always willing to help.
Room was clean and comfortable and although had problem one night with air con staff assisted immediately.
Would have given 5 stars but the only let down was the breakfast we had included in the deal.
It was put out cold then heated by fuel and stood ages so we did not have any meals at hotel because of this which was a pity as everything else about this hotel was great.

The location is great if you want to be close to the action of Patong and is an easy walk to the beach. The staff is very pleasant. I never had any room/hotel issues to ask of them other than a little conversation when I passed through the lobby but they were helpful with knowledge of the area. I stayed in one of the suite rooms and the extra space was nice to have. Also, it was very quiet at night which surprised me being so close to a lot of activity.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Location is ideal, close to endless restaurants, bars, massage shops, a few minutes walk to Bangla Road and Jungceylon, and around 10 minutes to the beach.

The hotel rooms were pretty nice. Wifi worked very well throughout, showers were hot and powerful and rooms were clean and well decorated. The mattress was hard, in fact like sleeping on a block of concrete. The air con in my first room was defective and the room would not cool down. I told reception who said they’d get it fixed. After being ‘fixed’ it was still the same so they offered to move me to a new room although no help was offered to move my luggage. The air con in the new room was a lot better, so I thought. Until the next morning when I woke up to find a new indoor pool in my room. I turned the air con off and cleared up the water and thankfully it didn’t leak again.

The roof top pool area is nice, with lots of seating. However the pool was far from clean, I never saw anyone swimming in it.

The hotel restaurant food was very good and the promo menu very reasonable. As a hotel guest I was expecting a 10% discount as advertised in the room on a laminated car. When looking at the check this wasn’t applied so I questioned it. The waitress referred me to the reception staff who was rude and discourteous. Firstly she said it’s too late for the discount... this is wrong as no time is specified. There is a set time for outside diners to get a discount but hotel guests not so. She then said as the dish was already on the promo list the discount didn’t apply. The offer said on everything so again, this seems wrong. She also said the mango smoothie is cheaper than outside. Firstly that’s totally irrelevant and secondly at 120 baht, untrue. So refusing to give the discount on the main dish or the drink I asked for it on the full menu price I paid for the rice, at which she just laughed. In the end I just walked away, after all this is Thailand, the visitor can never win or even challenge the sheer incompetence.

All in all the hotel wasn’t too bad but the restaurant discount issue turned the stay sour. Be sure to clarify prices and discounts if you plan to stay / eat here.

Quite place to sleep at night, reasonable rate, nice rooms, friendly staff, main locations - Patong beach, Bangla street etc at walkable distance, airport transfer at extra cost etc.'Value Plus' money exchange is very near for best rates.

The only little drawback is the very limited variety of items in free breakfast and which is surely adjustable considering the aforesaid great points.

I visited on 10 to 13 August with my friend, we book 4 rooms. Great rooms, staff very very polite, great location with peace, guest friendly, break fast not very rich it should be upgraded according to looking indian guest.
But very much value for money.its
