Merial Hotel

Old facility but clean. EXCELLENT location. Walkable to all sites, park, shopping and dining.
Bed very comfortable.
Only issue was with tv. Never could get it to work but not a big issue as not there to watch tv.

Cute little spot close to everything you could want. The world’s smallest elevator is here and I love it. Staff was friendly enough.

Als je een hele kleine maar prima hotel wilt hebben met alle highlights op loopafstand en de tram om de hoek dan is dit de place to be. Uiteraard kan je overal op af aanmerkingen over hebben. Maar het ia prima bivakkeren, je haalt het ontbijt in een ander hotel wat ook onder dezelfde vlag valt. Het is van 1 eigenaar. Maar even terug op het hotel zelf. Het heeft een ienieminie lift maar het past net met 2 personen en bagage. De kamer is klein maar heeft eennkast een tafel en een bad met douche. De bedden zijn wel hard maar alles word netjes schoongemaakt dagelijks. De heren van de receptie zijn heel lief en willen je met alles helpen. Dus voor relatief weinig geld is het een leuk hotel.

Really close to Sultanahmet Square, handy for the tram and train to get around the city. Friendly staff with good English, very welcoming. Room small but fine, hotel is tiny and has no facilities (breakfast is in a neighbouring hotel albeit less than 2 mins walk away) but if you just want a base it's absolutely fine.

Me, and my friend stayed at this hotel for 3 days, and there is no criticism from us. Fresh towels every day, clean room and bathroom. Very nice elderly man helped with everything we needed. I intend to use this hotel again!

otel konumu gerçekten çok iyi. Ama kaldığım odada su gider borusunun yukarı katlarsakilerin sifonu çekmesiyle kafama dökülüyormuş gibi ses çıkarması her defasında uyandırdı. 101 nolu oda bu açıdan kötü. diğerlerini bilemiyorum.

Do not choose h room #101. he noise from waste pipes will not let you sleep well.

Every my trip I live in several hotels.
I like that style.
We stayed in this mini-hotel for several nights.
During covid19 this tiny hotel proposes a high level of safety imho.
Every day change towels and linens, every morning cleaning.
Why do I say about it? Coz for its very modest price!

This mini-hotel has a spirit of boutique hotel. There is no butler here, but general manager Gurhän manages that hotel. He was nicknamed “grandfather” for his kindness and honesty. He solves all client’s needs in their favor and he is available 24/7.

The manager and a cleaning lady were in masks all time.

The hotel is small , otoman style furnished, and just 8 rooms!
So it will be amazing for a big company to occupy all rooms. Also cool for friends, romantic or solo trip.
Just don’t looking for Hilton services by this price😉
I used to live in middle class business hotels like Marriott or NH.
2 times I live in Hilton, sometimes in boutique hotels, and several times in mini-hotels.
Also I had experience with resorts high and middle classes.
So I know what I am saying.
Silly to see reviews from people who don’t understand system money= quality and who are expecting Hilton level from budget hotels.
For his price Merial is a stunning hotel.

The ottoman style, stylevery day cleaning. A little fridge in a room, free safe, air condition. Lift get you to your room.

The rooms are not big, about 17-20 sq meters.
Standard double room had two beds, a bathtub, ten, sleepers, shampoo, shower gel, soap, bath cap, etc.
The rooms are exactly the same as the pictures.

The only downside is that the shelf under the sink is not comfortable for washing face.

Breakfast is available from 8am to 10 next door 4* hotel with a panoramic view on Bosphorus.
Good breakfast. Delicious, fresh food.

Free safe.
Free WiFi covers lobby and every room, works good.

We had a trip with a family. This hotel is very clean, romantic and historical. Location is great, 3-5min to Sultanahmet Aya-Sofya. We have been to many hotels in Istanbul, and for sure it was the best one. Staff is very kind and friendly. Breakfast is super!!! In this area this is the cheapest hotel. Very quiet area around the hotel. A lot of restaurants and shops available nearby.

We will choose this hotel for our next trip too.

Traveling solo to Istanbul, I wasn't too sure how much the language barrier was going to be so I wanted to make sure I was in a central area (old city) to visit all of the nearby attractions. This hotel is perfectly located near The Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Basilica Cistern. To my surprise, one of the top Turkish bath houses (Cagaloglu Hamami) was a 3 min. walk as well. Gurhan was so kind and accommodating. The rooms were quaint and clean. I’d 💯 stay here if I visit again.

The hotel is ideally situated about 200m from Hagia Sophia which is central to a lot of the places you want to see in Istanbul, and It is about 300m from the tram stop which can get you to almost anywhere in the city.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, always willing to assist with extra towels, directions and advice on where to eat. the rooms are small (think Paris/London boutique style) but well fitted so that you don't feel claustrophobic (make sure you check all options before choosing, becos they are different). The bathrooms are neat, clean and functional.

One of the highlights of the hotel is actually not at the hotel but next door where you enjoy breakfast. The spread is great and the views are a bonus. I really enjoyed having the Masjid/çami/mosque about 50m down the road so I could make it for Salah if I left when the Azan began.

Overall I would definitely consider this hotel if I was looking for a location close to the sights and wanted to experience the 'old city' feel of Istanbul.

Perfect localisation, main attractions like Haga Sophia, Blue Mosque and Topcapi Palace on foot distance. Which saves a lot of time in queues to get the tickets to the museums and sites. Not a very big hotel, but cosy and clean. Breakfast in hotel near by with astonishing panoramic view on main attractions and Bosphorus. Very friendly owner and the rest of the staff. Easy way to get from the airport by Havaist shuttle bus service to Sultanahmet. Wonderful stay, wonderful memories of the moments in İstanbul

Hotel es muy pequeñito pero tiene todo lo que se necesita, muy bien ubicado y “limpio”. Lo mejor de todo es la atención, el personal increiblemente amable, siempre dispuesto a ayudar! Definitivamente lo recomiendo!

The room was small but it had everything we needed. The owner was incredibly generous and friendly. Brilliant cost ratio.
