Location
Poll so dirty !!! Very noisy rooms !
Great Location. History preserved to its best !
Koder House was a delight in every way possible - from the kind service to spacious rooms, which included a dressing room and the palatial sitting areas. The location by the Chinese fishing nets makes it perfect on all levels.
Great service in a truly unique hotel. Enormous suite with bedroom, dressing room and very large bathroom. The service was wonderful. The location is great for seeing all of the most popular tourist destinations.
Great Experiances, and we enjoyed our stay at Koder Hosue,
Some would say that the monsoon season is not the time to visit Kerala. I would have to say quite the opposite. It is cool, yes wet, but it t is not continuous rain and at times refreshing.
My wife and I ventured into Fort Kochi during monsoon which is apparently to least touristed season of the year and we don’t regret this decision.
Koddr house was a refreshing break after the hustle and bustle of Mumbai. The staff are very polite and helpful, the restaurant has good food, wine and beer.
(Alcohol is hard to come by in Kerala unless your hotel is 5 star or you cue at a hole in the wall government beverage shop)
The premises are awe inspiring a tribute to Indy Portuguese Dutch architecture.
Tall airy rooms with exposed teak beams and 10 inch wide floor boards, this residence exudes charm and a presence that you will find hard to duplicate.
Heritage listed, beautifully furnished and clean, to the merit of the owner, it is well maintained in a stately form.
Christine and I highly recommend you enjoy a stay here amongst the historic an attractive old world Fort Kochi.
Cheers
The hotel is historic, and the staff was very friendly. However a number of the light switches in my room didn’t work. Every time I turned them on I would blow all the fuses in the room and have to find the fuse box in the dark. Overall decent place, but some features could use updating.
Absolutely loved every moment of our stay at Koder House. From check in to leaving everything was perfect.
The young woman at check in ensured all of our group was happy with their rooms and was so efficient and friendly. We could not ask for better service.
Our room was spectacular in this amazing and historical house. Our room was spacious with stunning furniture bedding and the most wonderful dressing room and bathroom. It was spotlessly clean.
The included breakfast was great and served with great care.
I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. The location is right near the Chinese fishing nets and plenty of restaurants and market stalls.
It is fantastic value and I would definitely stay again if visiting Kochi.
Overpriced with limited internet limited hot water
I would recommend the Koder house to any and all travellers to Cochin it is fabulous

Koder house is an historic building right next to the shore park in Kochi. It has classic styling, great old woodwork, but is very very clean, with very good service and food. For this area of southern India it is a gem. It is not a brand new, slick modern hotel, more for the people, like us who like to stay in a place with character and great personalized service.
Like all of Kerala, it tends to be very warm and humid. Mold is everywhere in this country (mold sensitives beware).
This wonderful historic house will give you a feel for Kochi's history and is a treat to stay in. The food at Koder House is fabulous, and incredibly reasonably priced. Staff is amazing, attentive and goes way out of their way to be helpful. You can expect, and will get, the kind of help that is not easily forthcoming at hip hotels nearby. Rooms are quiet, the ac and hot water are reliable, and the building is charming. Only drawback is finicky wifi, but that's not atypical in Fort Kochi. Koder House is just a short walk to anywhere you might want to go.
We stayed in a deluxe suite on the 3rd floor with balcony, the room was very spacious quiet and comfortable. All facilities worked well and our room was kept very clean and tidy - room service was very unobtrusive. This floor had the business centre (2PCs fax etc) with free internet and a small but helpful library. The room matched pictures on the internet.
Staff were all polite and attentive and very pro active and keen to help answer any request. We needed a international power adapter which required trying several types.
Loved the food, the in-house menu though small was always beautifully cooked. I recommend the Dosa for breakfast served with sambal it was both tasty and refreshing. We can also recommend the Old Harbour hotel restaurant next door - the Tuna tar tar is a must try.
This hotel is very centrally located perfect for walking short distances to the tourist spots. Opposite is a large park, then the Chinese fishing nets. On the park corner is a tuk tuk station 30 rupee will take you most places in Kochi, Mantancherry & late night rides only slightly more.
Drivers chosen by the hotel for airport and tours were honest. Collectively they drive intuitively a whole new perspective for us so hang on and go with it.
We recommend a ferry ride to Ernakullum its much faster 20 minutes versus 1 hour plus drive. Get the driver to use the barge on your airport transfer its fun and faster.
Seductively relaxing thanks to the staff who warmly welcomed us
massive rooms, old period features, freindly staff, great location.
This hotel is an old and beautiful house. The room was amazing. Only one remark about the slowness of the service for breakfast.
We got two rooms downstairs. IN my room the electrical outlets were not working at all, called electicians and he tried his best. The electicity were not coming to the plug. The breakfast items were only cerelas and fruits. I ended up with an omellette.
