A very well presented property in a remote area. It had all the amenities that the traveller needs.
Signage on Eco lodges needs to be more obvious when it’s dark - we & several others waisted time looking for ours when returning in dark after cruise, as they are somewhat randomly placed & all loo alike
Loved everything and customer service was the best experienced
Comfortable and cool room at the end of a long hot day.
One of the best experiences ever. Such rich heritage and diversity. Well established facilities and excellent service. A must do experience.
Amazing place , stayed in one of tge lodges. Great room with everything we needed. The bar bistro was great with lovely food
Staff we extremely friendly. So happy we stayed. Highly recommend
Relaxing Stay in the Heart of Kakadu
Cooinda Lodge is in a fantastic location—perfect for exploring the beauty of Kakadu National Park. We really enjoyed the good food on offer and loved spending time on the deck, which was a peaceful spot to unwind and take in the surroundings. A great base for a relaxing and nature-filled getaway!
Wasn’t expecting too much from this stay but it was clean and quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable
The main restaurant was excellent and the room was comfortable but we would have prefered one with its own bathroom ( that could be my booking online error though)
Our stay at Cooinda Lodge was excellent. The only downside was that glamping tents were not fitted with bathrooms. This would great enhance the experience. Otherwise very good.
The air-conditioned lodges were very nice with an outdoor sitting area for each one. It was convenient to the Yellow River cruises when we visited in April. The main pool was noisy and meant for families, while there was limited seating at the smaller, quieter pool. The main restaurant, Mimi’s, served wonderful food for dinner, but the hot breakfast there was outrageously priced. At the outdoor restaurant, the food was just ok and they took advantage of the remote location by charging us $18 for a pint of beer. The Margherita pizza had no basil on it, just the dried herb. Staff at the shop/tour kiosk were very nice, although our room wasn’t ready at check in time and we had to chase down the staff member who had promised to call us when it was. Overall though, a good place to stay in Kakadu.
The property is well serviced with good bars and restaurant. The surrounding environment trees, palms and landscape is well preserved and maintained. Rooms are very clean, air conditioned and staff exceptionally helpful.
Definitely will return if the opportunity arises.
Wonderful location for river cruise. Quiet and comfortable. Pools were great to cool down in.
I loved the villa myself and my partner stayed at l would recommend it to anyone there nothing l didnt like
Our stay was during the wet, off-season so we did not have the property when it was at its best. However, the staff were very friendly but dining options were very limited - especially for me as a vegetarian - and the place had a slight overall shabbiness which means it’s a 3 overall from me.
A marvellous property in the national park. Simply a great to stay there, so close to the waterways and forest. I loved my stay - everything very special (in the off season too!(
This property is in a remote area. Well set out. Good facilities. Good food. Great staff. Well positioned for the surrounding attractions.
It's the location from where the Yellow Water cruises depart from so that is very convenient. This lodge also has a shop and fuel bowsers. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable about Kakadu NP.
It was a great stay. because we were there at the end off season we did not have many dining options which was a shame. Overall very happy and very central to all that Kakadu has to offer.
Cooinda was a beautiful clean well kept resort. The lodge we had was really modern and comfortable. Comfy bed and pillows, good air con, fridge, kettle, tea and coffee etc.
The resort was big enough to go for a walk in the mornings and a fantastic swimming pool to do laps. The restaurant provided a good breakfast with a good coffee machine, a juicer to make fresh orange juice and a vegetable juicer maker also. The restaurant in the evening also had quality meals from barramundi, steak, pasta, pizzas, seafood etc. The staff throughout the resort were always pleasant and helpful. Really loved our stay here and would highly recommend it.
