Pros:

gute, ruhige Lage. Schöner Ausblick auf das Matterhorn. Nettes Personal und Hotelchefin.

Cons:

durchgelegene, viel zu weiche Matrazen. Nach 4 Tagen bei beiden Gästen Rückenschmerzen.
Die Matrazen gehören dringend ausgetauscht.

Frühstück ist ausbaufähig, Auswahl recht begrenzt.

Ruhiges Hotel mit schönem Wellnessbereich- Frühstücken besser woanders
Pros:

Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr ruhig, das Zimmer ist gemütlich eingerichtet, die Betten bequem, aber alles ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Licht etwas spärlich im Zimmer. Das Bad eigentlich ok, aber man muss in der Badewanne duschen mit einer beweglichen Glastrennwand. Für etwas beleibtere oder ältere Leute sicherlich ungeeignet und nicht mehr zeitgemäss. Das Bad ist jeweils danach nass und das Duschen ist nicht wirklich ein Vergnügen da man immer mit der Glaswand und der Duschbrause hantieren muss. Super die Rituals Pflegeprodukte in grossen Spendern! Gute Handtücher, Schlappen in super Qualität und Badmantel, genug Bügel im Schrank, Blick auf Matterhorn vom Balkon aus, Kaffeemaschine und Wasserkocher- alles sehr gut. Toller Wellnessbereich! Sauna, Dampfbad, Jacuzzi, Ruheraum- tiptop sauber und schön eingerichtet zum Wohlfühlen. Wir konnten den Bereich alleine benutzen, was sehr angenehm war. Das Personal ist nett.

Cons:

Das Frühstück war leider sehr enttäuschend und in keinster Weise was wir in Zermatt erwartet hätten zu dem Zimmerpreis! Keine Kaffeemaschine, kein Samowar für Tee( man musste alles einzeln bestellen), Eierspeisen Fehlanzeige, kein Lachs oder besondere Käsesorten, das einzige dunkle Brot was es gab war extrem trocken und hart. An der Rezeption hat man noch Sirocco Tee angeboten ( für teure 5 CHF), beim Frühstück gab es dann nur noch den billigen Tee ohne Geschmack. Kaffeesahne gab es auf dem Zimmer leider nie und beim Frühstück auch nur auf Anfrage. Keine Tischdecken auf dem Tisch, hier leider alles etwas lieblos und 08/15 Frühstück.

Amazing view of Matterhorn
Pros:

Quiet location. Good breakfast. Soft pillows and comfortable beds. I loved the sparkling bottle of water in the room—it was tasty. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

Die Unterkunft war schön und sehr sauber.

Cons:

Der Wellnessbereich war leider sehr klein, ich hatte gedacht, er sei größer. Am Nachmittag ist das Zimmermädchen noch einmal vorbeigekommen und nach einmaligem Klopfen einfach hereingekommen. Wir hatten kaum Zeit zu reagieren. Das war nicht so toll

A warm and welcoming, happy place for a family stay. Would definitely book again.
Pros:

Early check-in was no problem. Good old-fashioned service (bed turned down and room tidied mid-afternoon etc.) Staff were warm, helpful and friendly. Excellent breakfast (including gluten free options) in a pleasant environment. A short walk to very part of Zermatt.

Very comfortable and clean room, beautiful views and friendly forthcoming staff. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at Hotel Albatros again!

Comfortable, clean, polite staff
Pros:

The location was good, 10/15 minutes walk to train station

Cons:

My biggest 1st world problem in Switzerland was getting a good old cup of tea (Yorkshire tea) if like me you like having a cuppa, take enough tea bags to last your stay in Switzerland. The Swiss have everything mastered to precision barr a cup of tea!
