I only had toast for breakfast. I asked for it with butter and marmalade. The very poor quality toast arrived already spread with some indeterminate spread - I am not a child - I can spread my own toast and butter should be butter!

I was immediately impressed by how clean and inviting the hotel seemed when I walked in.
I'm always a little apprehensive with new places bu no worries here. The young man on reception was pleasant and welcoming and even took my case upstairs for me... I'm a senior so was most welcomed. My room was spacious, very light, very clean as was the bathroom.
I had full english breakfast which was very well cooked and tasty. I felt the cereal selection could be improved on, perhaps some muesli or granola?
All in all though I really enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay again. I visit regularly for family purposes and have stayed in numerous other places nearby but Eagle House was definitely the best for me. It's also just a short walk to and from the train station so very convenient too.
The only thing I didn't like had nothing to do with the hotel.....noisy and inconsiderate guests in next room.
