Hilton Garden Inn Covington/Mandeville

The desk staff was wonderful and tried very hard to correct a costly mistake that I made when using booking.com (which I will never use again). Bartender was great! Food was hot and delicious.

Worst Hilton hotel that I've ever stayed at. I had originally came to Mandeville for a funeral and ended up stuck here for over a week due to flooding and a tropical depression in the Gulf of Mexico and couldn'tget home. Its summer and with the summer upon us so hot and humid I looked forward to the pool and spa but it is closed and told at check in that it is under renovation which they failed to let me know when I made the reservation, I would have gone to another hotel if I had known that but I guess that is why they dont let you know . The Fitness center is also closed due to hotel and pool renovations. No pool no spa and no fittness cente to access due to renovations. There is no working ice machines on the 2nd floor. You have to seek a working ice machine on the 3rd or 1st floor. Housekeeping , they do not clean your room unless you check out, after the 5th day of not having the room cleaned with the trash building up , running out of clean towels I called the front desk to request housekeeping and I was told it was too late in the day to request housekeeping, a Hilton hotel that doesnt automatically clean your rooms while you stay?
Since when did this start? Hilton Garden Inn Covington advertises on the web site they have a pool and spa that opens on Memorial Day weekend which is FALSE they do not due and do not know when it will actually be open. They advertise that they have a Fitness center at this hotel which is true it just can't be accessed to use due to renovations at and in the hotel, the pool, and the spa? They advertise house keeping is every other day, which is false it was day 6 before house keeping came and cleaned the room.Ice machines for you to use is displayed on the web site, ice machines on every floor which is true, but not all of the ice machines on each floor work such as the one on the 2nd floor and it looks like it has not been working for months if not years so hope your in the mood to walk because that is what you have to do in order to find a working one.The Hilton Garden Inn in Covington is by far the worst Hilton that I have stayed in. My review and suggestions is a 1 star only because it is located in a good area , everything else is a Zero star. Definitely seek better accommodations somewhere else. Hilton shame on you.

The room was tastefully furnished and the bathroom was a good size. I liked that the soap and shampoo dispenser were wall-mounted. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet in the hallway. It was a little cool in the room but we were able to adjust the thermostat. The night clerk was pleasant and figured out why she couldn't find us in the reservation system. I had put the next day's date in rather than that day. But she revised our dates, and we were able to stay for the night. The hotel is in a good location.

The staff were great. The room was clean. The sound proof was great. The grounds were clean.

Convenient location friendly staff comfortable beds. Restaurant offerings are limited chicken Cesar salad was tasty as was the burger.
