Good layout and facilities of the room, very large tv, very good location.
Nothing.
Breakfast lovely and lots of choice
Told breakfast finished at 10 by reception when booking in but was told by restaurant staff next day that it finished at 930 so had 15 mins to eat. Not happy and was still hungry as hardly had time to eat anything.
Very clean, very modern, great location and very professional welcome. Ticked all the boxes. Warm cookie on arrival, nice touch!
I think a bottle of water in the room would be something to think about as at the prices charged it’s definitely affordable.
It’s a fab location
The bar and restaurant temperatures were way to cold - we did tell the staff they tried but didn’t appear to have the ability to turn the heating up
It made us rush our meal - which spoilt the night and we even took our drinks from the bar to our room because it was freezing in the bar (and my husband is never cold)
No better at breakfast either
Granted it was a cold weekend and it snowed but it was winter and I think it was warmer outside
First time staying here, and was impressed by the hotel and the staff. Was able to check in a little earlier which was nice as we travelled for our anniversary. Was also give 2 complementary cookies, sadly I couldn't eat due to nut allergy but my other half enjoyed them.
Our room was spacious and clean and tidy.
Your very close to alot of good restaurants and shops. Would recommend eating in the Marco pierre restaurant in the hotel as the food was exceptional and the service was great.
Sadly as comfy as the bed was the pillows were too soft, both pillows as you get 2, were too soft. The bed makes alot of noise when turning over so when your trying to have a romantic evening not quite what is a mood setter. Lol
There isnt a mini fridge which would of helped just for water and milk from the shop for teas and coffees and just snacks if needs be.
Whilst our room was dark there was a gap in the side which let light in. That could be changed maybe which a strip of material.
There was a lot of foot traffic past our room and housekeeping are not exactly quiet, slamming toilet seats on cleaning and room doors aren't as slow closing as they could be.
Great location, really close to the university
Parking in the hotel is limited, although good value multi storey is a short walk away
Room lovely...bedding very thin so was cold. There were plaster fixings on the carpet which I stood on in the night...ouch ! Breakfast was very busy...not a lot of gluten free options...Ladies on reception did apologise when I gave them the plaster fixings and feedback
Cleanliness of room....debris from building works left on carpet....minimal tea etc....
Good location, on waterfront short walk to the main area's
Most of the staff was great apart from one woman at reception. Young lady,
Had a problem with the bed it was broke, and constantly squeaking. Never slept a wink all night. tells us what is she suppost to do. I booked a room with a view, we got the back of the car park, a bath and a queen bed. Paid extra, She said will up grade us.
She down graded us. To a double, and a shower. Also when booked said free parking had to pay £16 extra. Never had breakfast as was only croissants / continental, which isn't for us.
no cooked breakfast. Ended up going somewhere else. So would like part refund. In all our lives never been this horrendous. It was a lovely place. Restaurant and top bar, Just not the room the bed. Or what we asked and paid for. Or the certain woman.
As above
Bedroom was lovely. Breakfast was nice.
It would be nice if they had a nicer reception with coffee etc
Everything
Nothing
Staff were exceptionally good.
The bed was uncomfortable, too hard for us.
The breakfast was ok but terrible tea and lukewarm. Coffee excellent.
Being charged £16 for parking was not acceptable on top of the room rate charged.
Had a lovely evening meal but again quite expensive for what it was.
Bed, slept terribly and heating system was hit and miss.
