Gute Strandlage
Pros:

Uns hat die Lage sehr gut gefallen, es gab zwar noch bessere, aber es war so auch ruhiger als Richtung Zentrum. Die Zimmer sind wohnlich und bequem, der kleine Balkon davor mit Sitzmöglichkeiten auch sehr schön. Die große Liegewiese mit Bäumen ist mit vielen Liegen ausgestattet und jeder hat seinen privaten Bereich, bei allen Liegen ist ein Schirm und ein Tisch. Der Meerzugang ist sehr seicht aber auch sauberer (Seetang) als an anderen Stellen. Der Weg zum Zentrum ist ok. Gutes Internet, trotzdem ab und zu Ausfälle. Es sind viele Restaurants in Gehweite.

Cons:

Mit dem Frühstück waren wir nicht zufrieden, einmal gab es das nicht, das andere mal das nicht. Es kann nicht sein, dass bei so einem kleinen Essensangebot man schon zeitig früh etwas nicht mehr bekommt. Gäste erzählten uns, dass man mit Schmiere am Anfang bessere Ergebnisse erzielen kann, das darf bei diesem Preis nicht sein. Die Bar könnte mehr Geschäft machen, wenn sie happyHour anbietet. Die Liegen (Day-Beds) am Meer sind kostenpflichtig oder über Konsumation von ca. ca. 400 pesos zu reservieren. Im Hotel waren viele Familien mit Kindern, aber Ohrstöpsel haben geholfen. Die vorbeifahrenden Buggies zwischen Liegewiese und Liegestrand hört man irgendwann nicht mehr. Leider sind viele Liegen schon zeitig früh reserviert. Der Pool bedarf einer Generalreinigung (Algen). Das Personal könnte mit Gästen, die nicht so gutes Spanisch sprechen etwas freundlicher umgehen, man ist ohnehin bemüht.

A little bit of paradise.
Pros:

Excellent location past the busy part of the beach so quieter with more space around the sun loungers on the beach. The rooms lead to the sun loungers around the bar and pool area which has the feeling.of a large resort yet it is a small hotel with much more personal feel.

Cons:

I have nothing at all to complain about. Everything was just excellent.

The garden is beautiful and really well maintained.
The location is nice as it is 5 min away from the centre so it is a quite area

Cons:

The additional cost to seat on the beach loungers even if this is empty all day (due probably to construction ongoing next to the beach club and also the fact that they don’t clean the sargassum compare to to the beach club next to it.) For all these reasons they could grant the access to the lounger to the hotel residents…
Regarding the breakfast it was ok but we experienced better in other hotels in Yucatán…

Puerto Hotel Holbox is located in an excellent location and has a beautiful pool and beach.
Pros:

Room was spacious and clean. Grounds had beautiful landscaping and well maintained. Pool was clean and refreshing. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Free breakfast was just the right amount of food. Short walk to the beach. Free beach chairs close to the pool and bar. Beach chairs available right on the beach for $300 pesos. The $300 is a minimum purchase of food and/or beverages, not a beach chaise lounge rental. Main downtown center is a few blocks away and easily walkable. The main center has restaurants, bars, shops, pier, etc.

Cons:

The pools at all the resort aren't large enough to have chairs to lay by the pool. This is something that I've been used to at resorts in other areas. No televisions in the rooms. This is okay since I'm on vacation, but would have liked to watch the United States men's NCAA college basketball tournament.

Cons:

Tout, le personnel est désagréable. Nous devions avoir 2 chambres nous en avions 1 seule pour 4 car l’hôtel m’avait donné à quelqu’un d’autre. La chambre était très sale et détériorée. Les toilettes de la chambre n’ont pas fonctionné pendant plus de 24h, ils ont dû les changer le lendemain de notre arrivée en fin d’aprem.
C’était absolument l’endroit le plus nul que j’ai fait alors que l’île est incroyable.

Concernant les sargasses, c’était la plage la plus sale car c’est le seul hôtel qui ne nettoie pas sa plage quand il y en a. Nous avons donc dû aller dans d’autres hôtels de bord de plage la journée.

Verwachtingen overtroffen
Pros:

Dit hotel heeft alle verwachtingen overtroffen. Je komt terecht in een oase van rust, een mooie tuin met palmbomen, een aangeharkt strand en daar achter de prachtig blauwe zee. Aan het strand zat een fantastisch restaurant/bar. Wij zaten in de kamer met zeezicht en stonden met 2 stappen met onze voeten in het zand. Het personeel is enorm vriendelijk en behulpzaam en de kamer was netjes en schoon. Ook de bedden waren zeer comfortabel. Vanaf het hotel is het 5 minuten lopen naar het centrum dus lekker centraal!

Cons:

Het ontbijt wat is inbegrepen is wat eentonig, zeker als je hier voor langere tijd zit. Maar de kwaliteit is wel erg goed! En als je wilt kan je altijd een gerecht van de kaart bestellen tegen betaling. De deur van de kamer ging wel op slot maar voelde niet heel solide. Er zijn geen gekke dingen gebeurd maar dit kan wat onveilig aanvoelen. Verder was het jammer dat er geen kast in de kamer aanwezig was.

Cons:

הגישה למים לא היתה נעימה ומאד מלוכלכת. המלון נמצא על הים אבל הכיסאות בים לא שייכות למלון אז צריך לשם עליהם.

El acceso a la playa. La tranquilidad a pesar de la cercanía al centro.

Que la habitación era con vista al mar. Pero teniendo otras habitaciones delante, la vista al mar era poca.

Lovely stay,enjoyed the calm time there.
Pros:

Very good location - you can walk everywhere from there. Nice garden with the quite big beach. Love it that is was quite private not noisy. You can really relax there.

Cons:

The breakfast option could be improved. Staying for a longer period you get bored of the same food.
Room interior could be a bit updated.
