Traffic
The location was so perfect for me. Less than 5 min walk to everything i had on my list. I definitely recommend Dos Lobos and Deaverdura to everyone reading this. I loved the vintage yet renovated vibe of the hotel. The room i stayed in was spacious and well decorated. I just didn’t like that i couldn’t control the A/C. And the water wasn’t hot enough. Aside from that. Everything was nice
The ambience of old San Juan in the hotel was wonderful! The cleanliness of the room was wonderful. Having a bar to go hang out at in the evening on the bottom floor was perfect so I didn’t have to walk up and downhill of the streets to come back to my hotel after having a few drinks.
It took almost 20 minutes to find someone when checking in, in order to actually check me in. The coffee bar area takes a little bit of time to actually get a coffee. While I appreciate that, it’s fresh brewed right there, when you have three or four people all trying to get a coffee it can take 30 or 40 minutes. The pool is very small so if three or four people are in there you don’t really have any space but to just stand in the pool. The elevator take a very, very long time to go up and down three flight. I was able to walk up three flights of stairs to my room get what I need out of the room and come back downstairs before the elevator was even available. Mind you there was nobody else using the elevator, that’s just how long that elevator takes. When you are actually in the elevator coming down, expect to be in there for at least 2 and a half minutes to three minutes before you get from the third floor to the bottom floor.
Location was wonderful!!!!
The terrace and restaurants weren’t open so it didn’t live up to the website or pics. It was way smaller than the pics made it look too. And we couldn’t control the temperature in our room. Had to ask the front desk to. But otherwise it was good, just very expensive for what you get.
Beautiful hotel and great location.
We had the suite with the pullout bed which had a thin mattress and was uncomfortable for my son. Would have been better off not pulling it out and just sleeping on the couch. We were also not advised about the pool under work and therefore not available to guests. They should have offered a discount or free breakfast but didn’t.
I liked the uniqueness of the room & hotel and the location in Old San Juan.
The shower looked a bit worn and dirty, though I don't think it was. The larger bedroom could have used better lighting.
It’s the lobby area and location was great!! Great fresh breakfast with a view. I really liked the lady and the young boy who cooked and served respectively. Such humble people.
Room space and not many amenities in the room .
The room was nice and the bathroom was nice.
The next morning, they had construction going very early and it was noisy. The receptionist at the desk did not show me how to get to the 2nd elevator; therefore, I went outside looking for the entrance to the 2nd floor not helpful at all. Another guest how to assist me. However, the guest before me she took her time and showed them the elevator which was in front of the desk.

The location is wonderful for walking in Old San Juan. Breakfast was phenomenal on the rooftop.
The pool was temporarily out of service
The location and the staff were great and the terrace on the roof was lovely.
I didn’t like that the room had no windows and I did not get my room cleaned daily.
This was a beautiful old Spanish Colonial structure- mostly kept traditional. The location was awesome- in Old San Juan. Walking distance to historic sites and restaurants. Street was quiet.
The lovely rooftop (depicted in photos) was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. The pool was out of commission and we had not been informed. In addition, it did not have all the nice plants, cushions, lounge chairs, etc shown in the pictures. It was so disappointing.
Our bed was incredibly uncomfortable- it was an old saggy mattress which needed replacing.
On arrival, our bathroom had only 2 towels and one hand towel- no bathmat- so floor got all wet and slippery while showering since it's only a half glass panel- no washcloths or extra hand towels, only one small shower gel-so we had to ask for them. It just seemed sloppy. Nothing was replaced when we had our room "cleaned".
We didn't mind that some of the fixtures needed updating- like rusty towel bar and oxidized mirror- we weren't expecting a five star hotel- but basic bathoom supplies like towels and shower gel would have gone a long way, towards feeling like it was a pleasant stay.
We walked all over historic Old San Juan in comfort and safety. Good restaurants, stellar Jazz Club, eye opening museums and fun shopping.
