I liked the uniqueness of the room & hotel and the location in Old San Juan.
The shower looked a bit worn and dirty, though I don't think it was. The larger bedroom could have used better lighting.
It’s the lobby area and location was great!! Great fresh breakfast with a view. I really liked the lady and the young boy who cooked and served respectively. Such humble people.
Room space and not many amenities in the room .
The room was nice and the bathroom was nice.
The next morning, they had construction going very early and it was noisy. The receptionist at the desk did not show me how to get to the 2nd elevator; therefore, I went outside looking for the entrance to the 2nd floor not helpful at all. Another guest how to assist me. However, the guest before me she took her time and showed them the elevator which was in front of the desk.

The location is wonderful for walking in Old San Juan. Breakfast was phenomenal on the rooftop.
The pool was temporarily out of service
The location and the staff were great and the terrace on the roof was lovely.
I didn’t like that the room had no windows and I did not get my room cleaned daily.
This was a beautiful old Spanish Colonial structure- mostly kept traditional. The location was awesome- in Old San Juan. Walking distance to historic sites and restaurants. Street was quiet.
The lovely rooftop (depicted in photos) was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. The pool was out of commission and we had not been informed. In addition, it did not have all the nice plants, cushions, lounge chairs, etc shown in the pictures. It was so disappointing.
Our bed was incredibly uncomfortable- it was an old saggy mattress which needed replacing.
On arrival, our bathroom had only 2 towels and one hand towel- no bathmat- so floor got all wet and slippery while showering since it's only a half glass panel- no washcloths or extra hand towels, only one small shower gel-so we had to ask for them. It just seemed sloppy. Nothing was replaced when we had our room "cleaned".
We didn't mind that some of the fixtures needed updating- like rusty towel bar and oxidized mirror- we weren't expecting a five star hotel- but basic bathoom supplies like towels and shower gel would have gone a long way, towards feeling like it was a pleasant stay.
We walked all over historic Old San Juan in comfort and safety. Good restaurants, stellar Jazz Club, eye opening museums and fun shopping.
Was a good place in olde town
That's the TV didnt work even after they changed the batteries inthe remote. Also no pool. Was not notified from booking.
Todo, desde recepcion , hasta el ultimo minuto que estuvimos , nos vemos el prx año

Breakfast on the Terrace was delicious
Ae arrived at 11:30, and were told checkin was 3PM. At 1PM they gave us our room; and we took long needed naps. Breakfast on the rooftop was excellent.
Excellent location and great service
Location and the people.
Not lots of hot water even tho they might not need it but recommend the water to feel
Hotter. Bathroom door was not closing properly so the cold air was coming thru. Recommend to fix bc I was shaking all the time in the bathroom.
Location, friendly staff.
We stayed here previously and had none of these issues, so we rebooked for our honeymoon. I wish I could go back and tell myself to leave upon checkin.
To start off, the room isn’t even as advertised in the pictures. Half of the furniture has been removed as well as all carpets, tissues, bath mats, framed artwork, and all but two towels and wash clothes, leaving for a very empty looking and feeling room with very slippery floors.
They ask you upon arrival to not flush toilet paper, but rather throw it out in the provided trash cans that have no lid. This is not sanitary. I understand the plumbing issues as it’s an old building but you have to adapt and get trash cans with lids, rather than charging people to stay in the same room as an open bin with poop. To pair with that, the hot water does not work. We talked to the front desk and they said maitenence was on the way but it never reached above lukewarm. Not a hot shower the full four nights.
To top it all off, the “super fast wifi” they advertise was barely working well enough to watch a single episode of a tv show, despite the WiFi transmitter being 4 feet away.
I should have asked for a refund right away but figured it might get better, as we had a positive experience here in Nov 2023, but this was an immensely disappointing way to start our honeymoon. Cancelled our two night stay for the way back from St Thomas to stay somewhere that will hopefully provide even basic essentials.
