Nice breakfast (freshly cooked).
Helpful staff (changed me to another room very smoothly).
Very clean room.
Comfortable bed.
Good fast wifi.
Quiet.
There is no lift! I was late booking, so I got a room on the second floor, up some very steep stairs. Tricky if you have any walking problems (I do, due to old age).
The room wasn't warm enough: in fact the first room I was assigned was even colder, so the receptionist moved me to another one very politely. It had inadequate radiators and no air conditioning, so the best thing was to go to bed!
The TV was old, so no possibility of mirroring video from a phone etc. Time to change it!
It’s very quiet and very clean and secure and the staff is pleasant
Felt very cosy in the actual bedroom
In the bathroom wallpaper was peeling, had a crack in the bath tub and damp marks all over the ceiling. Additionally the kettle in the room was mouldy.
Location
Beautiful 4 poster bed
Bar price
Shower awful
Location
It was very cold, had a bad smell in the air on first arrival and the sink tap in the bathroom was loose and hard to turn off
On a cold winter's night the hotel was warm, welcoming, clean and comfortable. Plenty of parking. Good breakfast.
Always friendly. Very convenient for town centre.
The radiators were not working. I wasn't particularly cold, but would have liked the bathroom to be warmer.
Nice welcome cosy rooms
No plug in sink so not able to have a wash in morning, bar only had cans nothing on draft, child sat in lounge with children programs on
Staff were very helpful, rooms clean nice little bar area and breakfast was good
Shower. Facilities a bit dated
Location is good. Good car park. Room in the eves was lovely. Breakfast was good.
Can’t think of anything
Excellent breakfast and quiet comfortable room
Decent breakfast
Helpful staff
Room facilities need an update and room in need of decorating
Even though there was a warning sign the water was dangerously hot
Booked for my parents as they required emergency accommodation for two nights. Booed the Deluxe room. My parents were very unhappy with the standard of room and couldn't have a shoer - TV did not work etc.... Checked out the next morning. I then received a phone call from reception asking whether they would like a different room or a refund - so upset with the standard of room at the hotel they chose Refund. I was told I would get a call back later that day - as the card may need to be present, no call was received, I called to chase, again I was told the manager wasn't around yet but she would call me later - no one called. I called the next day to establish what was happening with the refund , to be told they would not be refunding me for the night my parents did not stay - even though they had offered this to me as a solution! We obviously had to rebook elsewhere based on the premise the night would be refunded - completely unacceptable
