Did not get value for money. I would not recommend

Room smelt of damp especially from 2nd day. Windows were left open but smell stayed.
Breakfast also too early on weekdays 7am to 9am.
We ordered tea and scone in bar. This took around half an hour to receive, where told scone was taking longer cooking

Good location, but expensive for rooms that are small and with bathrooms that need updating
Pros:

The staff were very welcoming and friendly, and the property was ideally located for our visit.

Cons:

The bathroom was dated, the bath appeared to have been previously repaired, the cladding was showing signs of needing to be repaired, the carpet in our bedroom was damp adjacent to the bathroom when we arrived and this got worse after we showered after which point the carpet was saturated and we had to place a towel on top to try and soak some of the water up and we had to walk round in our shoes. The bed also appeared to be two single bedsteads pushed together with a king mattress on top, the mattress was not at its best. Another annoying part of our stay was that fellow guests were not the best at being quiet when returning to their rooms and were banging the doors. The best part of the stay was that there was decent coffee and teabags!
