Fairly basic but good value and comfortable for an overnight stay.
Pros:

Very good value, basic facilities but perfectly adequate for an overnight stop on the way to get the ferry from Portsmouth. Decent self service buffet breakfast.

Cons:

Slightly dated facilities - it's a long time since I've fiddled with a non-thermostatic shower!
Bed a bit too soft & bouncy (but that's down to personal preference...)
We chose to eat out in the evening as the dining area is rather impersonal with a fairly limited menu & bar choice.

Nice cumfy hotel, great staff. What we booked, a base to visit several local heritage sites from
Pros:

Staff were very friendly and professional. Booking in and out etc was a breeze. breakfast were very good and was open buffet with good selection for continental option. Rooms were modern and comfortable, with beds to match. Janet was a star and a great laugh, both she and maxine had pleanty of local knowledge on the historical sites, which was my wifes main interest, and several other sites of interest like the "living musem" which is certainly one of a kind, and we both enjoyed. Would stop again anytime
