美味儿!美景!
Takže to bolo super. Mali sme krásny výhľad na more a aj Starý Nesebar.
We were recommended Nessebar by a travel agent and it's not disappointed as a resort; think Dubrovnik without the hassle when you're in the old town across the causeway which is an easy walk from the Sol Marina Palace hotel.
The hotel is very clean and well staffed. Food is acceptable as all-inclusive arrangements go; each day has a country's cuisine theme for the evening meal menu but breakfast and lunch have a good selection too. If you don't already know, Bulgarians don't have their food super hot so you might find warm soup or tepid dishes unless you get something straight from their grill. Staff are very friendly and speak far better English than I do Bulgarian.
We were in room 120 (see floor map attached) which while comfortable with a nice bathroom and effective AC was immediately above the lobby bar and it's outdoor area on on end and overlooked the lobby atrium at the other end so it wasn't the quietest room at times. I'd recommend trying to get on the odd numbered side of the building which also overlooks the old town; if you can get to the back of any given floor (101 or 102 in that floor plan would be ideal but same applies on floors 2, 3 and 4) then you'd have a quieter time all things considered.
That one quibble aside, I'd recommend this adults only hotel and it's older demographic over a stay anywhere in Sunny Beach!
Went here for our anniversary. Been to Bulgaria several times before but mostly in the mountain area, Sofia and Plovdiv. Nice hotel, yes, the pool is small but perfectly adequate for a nice jump in and cool off. Of course there are pigeons and seagulls around - you're on the coast. Bit of bird poo on one of the cushions of the sunbeds. Generally the whole hotel was kept nice and clean and tidy. Our room was perfectly OK with all facilities available. Iron, ironing board, spare pillows, soap and shampoo all provided.
Let me start with the positives, the location and views are super. The cleanliness was probably the best we've ever experienced. Sadly that is all the good I can say.
Our areas of serious complaint where regarding the appalling food during the holiday, which was poor from the first day and progressively deteriorated to a level which was inedible. The Hotel was winding down to close and this was apparent by the daily reduction in the food offered. Our next major complaint is the fact the hot food was cold all of the time. I don’t expect to pay for All Inclusive and on most evenings have to go out to local restaurants to dine out. My wife and I have travelled far and wide for many years, and I state categorically the food served at the Sol Marina Palace is by far the worse we’ve every come across. I cannot underscore enough how utterly appalling and cold the food was at this Hotel.
The better choice of hot meat was served at 6pm as the restaurant opened and was gone well before 7pm. It was never replaced so the early diners got food that was not offered to the rest of us. Not everyone wants to eat so early and even if everyone did the restaurant wouldn't hold everyone at once.
They had outside areas for both dining and in the marina bar and haven't the sense to purchase patio heaters for when the evenings get cold.
If the Hotel was going to be running down for closing – I feel this should have made this clear in the brochure and given anyone booking the choice and knowledge this was going to be the case at this Hotel.
When we booked this holiday, it was on the basis it was a 4 star, All Inclusive, Adults Only Hotel. We were put in a room on the 4th floor, one level below the Sky Bar. The noise was unbearable after 4 nights we had to formally request a room move!! The reception staff and the Duty Manager showed very little interest and had I not made a very forthright complaint I doubt they would have moved us. I can only sum this up as like being on an 18 -30 holiday.
The Hotel states the Sky Bar closes at 12 midnight – It certainly isn’t acceptable for drunks to be shouting, making a nuisance of themselves and be running around the Hotel after 1am. With a 24-hour reception they were fully aware of this unacceptable behaviour on a number of nights and did nothing about it.
The hotel is in the perfect position and has some very interesting features.
The top deck has fabulous views of 360 degrees with a sky bar and makes it feel very boutiquee as does the glass domed lift at the front of the hotel overlooking the sea.
Positives for me were the staff, the food( duck, salmon. Sea bass plus the more obvious meats, the choice of drinks, the spa treatment, my balcony view was wow and the electronic shower made me smile. Plus the small beach at the front of the hotel was perfect and sea was wonderful to swim in . Adult only in this smallish hotel in a perfect setting felt blissful
Getting to the old town of Nessebar was a hop skip and a jump away. Explore thoroughly , immerse yourself in the history and walk the old town peninsular promenade too .
Negatives - don’t go end of season my last two days weren’t as good because hotel closed on my last day,
Tad more entertainment in the evening would of been good .
Stayed here from 12th Sept til 26th Sept 2025. First time in Bulgaria. Came to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday with our 2 grown up children. Was not disappointed. Loved the hotel and the area. Hotel is just 10/15 min walk from Old Town Nessebar.
Rooms were lovely. Ours looked out over to Nessebar Old Town with side sea view. Rooms 315 & 319. Towels were changed everyday and rooms cleaned everyday. Breakfast was good, as also lunch & evening meals. Themed nights. 2 bars. 1 off of the lobby then the 1 on the roof(Sky Bar) Roof top sunbeds with plunge pool & jacuzzi bit. Spa.
Across a small road at the back of the hotel there are some steps that take you down to a small bit of a beach which has no toilets or eating/drinking facilities. But if you go right for about 10 min you'll come to a larger beach that has restaurants/bars/ hotels along it. We used to walk along to South Beach Bar which was in front of The Aphrodite Beach hotel and book sunbeds there as they had toilet facilities and you could eat or drink there too.
One day we caught a taxi ordered by the hotel to take us to Sunny Beach(lively resort), plenty of bars, shops etc)which took about 20 min and cost 20 lev. Be careful on way back as they try charging you more. We walked back along the beach front which took about 50 min.
If you need anything there are Supermarkets in the vicinity of the hotel.
All staff are lovely & friendly. Thankyou to the Sky Bar staff( Ivan, Dementia, Sam,Mariyana and the young lady in the mornings that worked with Sami) for looking after us.
Really enjoyed our stay and would definately come back.
This is a fantastic hotel,,very clean,,rooms cleaned everyday, staff very friendly,, everywhere spotlessly clean,, food good,, rooms very spacious,, breakfast amazing,, dinnets have plenty of choice and live cooking, constantly fresh..would definetly be back ,,the only thing we missed was not enough live entertainment,,but it was end of season and hotel was quiet,, but still perfect,,and a great location next to beach,,shops and bars etc..
Currently on our last day at sol place marina , the staff have been very helpful and friendly .
The hotel is very clean and has some nice peaceful areas bonus as it’s adults only .
Our room was very clean and we upgraded to a sea view .
There is a nice rooftop pool
And garden on the ground floor .
The restaurant served a variety
Of food so lots of choice the bread was amazing , only down side the food wasn’t always hot enough but solved that by using the microwave provided .
On the whole an enjoyable stay .
We're 10 days in to our 2 weeks holiday and are thoroughly enjoying our time here. The good points of this hotel far outweigh the few not so good. We arrived at lunch time & reception said our room wasn't quite ready so they put our luggage in the store room & sent us down for some lunch. Our room 408 is a good size 2 single beds, 2 chairs with a table, ample storage for the 2 of us large mirror, dressing mirror (but no chair) TV & fridge. I've no idea what channels the TV shows as you don't come on holiday to watch TV. The bathroom is very nice with a large rainfall shower. Unfortunately the rainfall bit isn't working but we're happy enough with the normal shower attachments so haven't asked for it to be fixed. The 1 thing that really lets the room down, as others have mentioned is the awful drainage smell in the bathroom. The balcony is facing an apartment block but has a beautiful side view of the sea. The maid who has cleaned our room every day deserves a special mention as she has kept the room spotless & is always pleasant. The food on each servings has always been pretty good & always plenty of choice. I credit the hotel on the amazing selection of fresh crusty bread at each meal too, absolutely delicious. The lads on the cooking station through all 3 serving are doing an amazing job & always greet you with a hello & they do a mean omelette in the mornings. Pretty much all of the staff we've encountered have been friendly & professional. It's self service drinks in the restaurant & you've got a good selection of 3 wines, beer, coffee and tea, 3 juices, coke, Fanta, Sprite, diet coke & water. The terrace on the sky bar has views to die for & there's also a lovely shaded garden area off the lobby bar with plenty of comfortable seating to relax with a nice cold drink. The hotel itself is spotless but they really do need to update the carpets on the room levels. All in all we're very happy with our choice of the sol marina palace & would definitely consider returning, we're having a lovely break.
This is our 3rd time in this hotel, it's a great location, the hotel is super clean, friendly and quiet, we enjoy the food - always a good selection, there is entertainment 4 nights a week - we especially love the singers, we also love Dimitri in the Sol Marina bar... he plays great music throughout the day/ evening.
Everything was perfect , staff was friendly and helpful. We personally thank you for the nice touch in the room and the wishes. The food was out of this world compared to other 5 star resorts that we stayed in Bulgaria. Thank you also for fixing the issue with the parking , greatly appreciated. The views were amazing and the most exciting thing was that after you eat you can just stroll off the restaurant's terrace for a walk in the Old Nessebar. For sure we will come for another stay. Thank you for everything !
PS: they let you feed the cats, but please bear in mind to leave food for the cats near the terrace. Nobody will complain. Incredible.
Small fixes that could be easily done in the room , few cracks on tiles, etc. Nothing major.
Good Hotel, food selection good, different every night. Hotel spotlessly clean and staff generally excellent. Some comments about restaurant staff not fair, as English is not their first language.
Situation is best in Nessebar, short walk to Old Town only 10 minutes and worth the walk.
Overall very good holiday, probably not visit again but only because we prefer travelling holidays. No fault with hotel.
