Probably stay somewhere else.
Pros:

The receptionist at check out was friendly.

Cons:

When I checked in late at night (1am), the door to the lobby was locked with an umbrella over the door handles. 2 staff were sleeping on stretchers on the floor. I knocked many times and only after 10 minutes did one of the guys wake up to open the door for us. All the lights were turned off. He then woke the other sleeping guy up to send us up with our luggages. He was (obviously) cranky and half asleep.

When we arrived our room, the door was unlocked and was slighly ajar (creepy). The room was very worn out and the bedsheets didn't feel clean. All the furniture is old and worn.

The worst part is that the room is completely not sound proof. I was woken by loud yelling from outside and door steps stomping down the corridors. Didn't get much sleep at all. The curtains are also not black out curtains so expect to be woken up by sunlight.

Pros:

Exceptionally kind and helpful staff. A lovely older hotel with a delicious breakfast and in a superb location. We stayed 5 nights and found the hotel to be a haven of peace amidst the delightful mayhem of Hanoi. Definitely recommend this hotel - you couldn't pick a better location and the price is very good for the service you receive.

Excellent hotel and location
Pros:

Location was excellent - really close to the lake. Staff were very attentive and friendly - they were always willing to help. Breakfast was good and promptly served. Beds were good. Rooms were clean. This is a great little hotel.

Great location for a reasonable price
Pros:

The location couldn't be better. It's the second row of buildings from the central Kiem Lake. The room is reasonably priced and quite spacious. Breakfast is a la carte, with fruits included. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Décevant.
Pros:

L’emplacement, la gentilesse des serveurs.

Cons:

L’hotel est beaucoup plus vieux et mal entretenu que sur les photos de booking. Les draps du lit et de la salle de bain sentait très mauvais, pas agréable du tout.

Absolutely fantastic stay !!!
Pros:

Everyone at the hotel went above and beyond to ease our way. The warmth and promptness of service and help is truly remarkable. The front desk arranged very good day trips to Ha Long Bay and Ninh Binh at very reasonable prices. Very healthy breakfast was also provided.
