Cons:

Die Unterkunft hat unsere Reservierung am Abreisetag mit der Begründung, dass das Hotel vorübergehend geschlossen ist, annulliert.

Als wir dann vor Ort waren, war das Hotel normal geöffnet.

Cons:

Le personnel peu attentif. Aucun service ou presque. Tout est silencieux. Ça manque de sourire et de chaleur humaine, d’attention. Les hommes qui sont là attendent patiemment que ça se passe, ils sont assis en bas et dorment parfois. Un très bel hôtel « fantôme »

Beautiful hotel! I’d stay again for certain!
Pros:

Beautiful hotel with a gorgeous, spacious room. Friendly welcoming staff. Great location in Galle Fort. I noticed in previous reviews that people mentioned that a small fridge would be a good addition to the room….they’ve taken this suggestion on board as we had a small fridge.

Pros:

Struttura in cui respiri la storia : una gran bella villa dal sapore coloniale, con arredi del periodo.
Posizione ottima per girare il centro di Galle

Cons:

Qualche ammodernamento in più non sarebbe male , ma siamo stati anche fortunati 😊 I primi ad avere un frigobar in camera (vuoto perché era stato appena installato, ma c’era )

Fantastic central location, gorgeous building, huge room
Pros:

One of our best stays in Sri Lanka. We had a huge twin room (2 double beds) in this beautiful historic building. The location is amazing - right in the middle of everything. We were working remotely and the communal spaces (sofas and dining areas) were a bonus - this place would be great for a group rental with all the open plan communal space. The lack of breakfast was not an issue for us at all as Galle is full of lovely cafes within easy walking distance, there is a kitchen in the house we could have used. The staff were lovely and helpful with laundry etc.

Beautifully restored and furnished old building, a touch of luxury, with lovely staff
Pros:

We really enjoyed our 3 nights here. Beautiful place in the fort area but quiet and peaceful. Was a great advantage to have kitchen facilities at our disposal. Staff very helpful and pleasant.

Onze kamer stonk naar mottenballen. Heel sterke vieze lucht, kwam uit klerenkast. Moet nodig wat aan gedaan worden.

A charming, well-located hotel
Pros:

We had a big room with two large beds. It was very spacious, with a high ceiling. We were just at the entrance. The place is charming. They have enough plugs for all the appliances. They kept our luggage after checkout time. The hotel is really well located, near the main shopping street and the lighthouse.

Cons:

There is no restaurant. You have to eat out, including for your breakfast. But this is not a problem at all since you have so many options, just a short walk from the hotel.
