The Hill Apartments Currumbin Beach

Every 5 minutes an airplane is landing over your head, nonstop morning to late night. If you arrive on a Sunday reception is closed and you have to face a little treasure hunt with locating key, apartment, car spot, etc.
Sleeping from dawn onwards very difficult with full light in the bedroom and planes landing.
Whole place is old and needs renovation.

Bathroom and ensuite could use the same update to match the rest of the apartment, but otherwise absolutely very clean and comfortable.

Access in and out is with the key fob only, even as pedestrians. We had to ask for an extra key fob.

It didn't worry us so much but if you struggle with steep walks and stairs then staying here may be an issue. The driveway is steep to walk up and if you are on upper levels, there aren't any lifts. Still, it helps with the fitness. :-)

It's not disability friendly at all, many stairs to climb. We had no reserved parking spot for the first 22 hours we were there as they had given it to someone else.

Can’t be helped but traffic loud even with windows doors closed. Some people sure like to rev cars along there

There were lots of stairs to get to the unit.

Stairs no lifts to rooms

Definately no lift too many stairs epecially as we had big Eskys full of food as we were catering for a party. We were lucky some lovely neighbours gave us a hand.

With the positioning of the air con and the bedrooms, the back bedroom didnt get any of the cold air, even with the fans on so the room stayed really hot. If you used the toilet paper provided you had to buy more. It was great that there was a car space however it was caged - just made it a little difficult to get in and out for my 4WD but a smaller car would be mostly ok

I didn’t have a car and it was really inconvenient to stay there- no shops walking distance to get even bread or milk so not at all suitable without transport. Even to buy a transport card to be able to take a bus to shops, you’d have to go to the shops that are 25+ mins walk in super humid high heat!! The staff were not really helpful or even empathetic about my situation! That was quite disconcerting. I didn’t have a great vibe about the customer service staff to be honest…

There was no power for the first night booked, out of the hands of the property managers sure, but perhaps a reduction in price for the apartment might have been appropriate. The apartment floor on arrival was extremely dirty. I had to vacuum and mop the floors a couple of times before it felt clean. The lady that came to clean the apartment after my initial complaint was really lovely and did a terrific job. I felt the receptionist/manager was not particularly welcoming nor appreciated my feedback.

The parking spaces were very tight & depending on which space you were allocated, tricky to enter and leave. The stairs! Definitely not recommended if you have knee problems. Considering the price paid for this accommodation, having to make sure everything is left clean, and all rubbish removed, is inappropriate.
