Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon

Since 10:00 pm, I have been requesting a Sinhala song. She said management asked not to sing Sinhala songs and also mentioned that she doesn’t know any. Several people made requests because there were a couple of Sri Lankan guests. Even though they refused to play any Sinhala songs, we were very disappointed. On New Year’s Eve at Hikka Tranz, with such bands playing, they were able to play songs from other countries (which I prefer not to mention) when requested. The band seemed more interested in taking pictures and selfies with the crowd.
It is surprising that a band like this was selected for Hikka Tranz.

We stayed at the Hikka tranz for new years and really enjoyed our stay here we loved the access to the beach and the activities available such as surfing , snorkelling , diving , water aerobics , gym and lots of swim options. Lovely restaurants available around Hikkaduwa including the Hikka tranz. Really great destination for everyone.

Not worthing 400 usd per night (half board), i am sure your money can go further in other hotels in the area. Hotel feels like a bit run-down and a renovation is definitely needed. Service is very good though and you may enjoy good variety of cuisines in the buffet. I did two dives with the hotel’s dive shop; they are well organised and professional.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout my visit. I really enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend this hotel to others.

Had a very unpleasant experience here. We went to see the hotel and dine there. Then we went to see the beach. When we went to see the beach and came back before dining we were told that we cannot use the washrooms by the security guard which was quite shocking. So as we left, another security guard at the gate refused to let us leave coercing us to buy something and said we should “buy at least a beer bottle” and mind you, we don’t drink. We were not informed of anything of the sort as we entered and it really ruined our whole experience of the hotel. The hotel looks very nice though and had a nice pool. Just very poor staff hospitality and poor policies. People should be informed of this before they enter. Not as they leave keeping the gates closed and making them feel held hostage. Absolutely wild! Never had such and experience like this! If at all they should implement a policy of charging a parking fee, not coercing them to buy food or drinks. Absurd as entering a hotel and seeing it is an invitation to treat and seeing the beach is public property. Overall an awful experience, having stayed at the hotel multiple times over the past 10 years as a local.

Actually I have visited 6 occasions to HiKKA Tranz for various celebrations. Latest been my Wife’s birthday (date 15.12.2025 - 16.12.2026 Beach Suite )

I am a huge fan of HiKKA Tranz since 2022. Mainly because of this special human being Mr.Ruwan, The Senior restaurant manager of HiKKA Tranz… whenever, I visited there with My family Mr. Ruwan make sure we get the absolute best service. He is a great hospitality professional who takes the guests very serious and provides an attentive service.

Moreover, my kids are in so much love with HiKKA Tranz with the amazing hospitality, great view and comfy rooms they have. Hikka Tranz for me is by far the best beach resort in southern province.

Thank you Mr. Ruwan and amazing staff for giving us the best you can offer. Surely this will be our comfort zone for Many years to come.

We had our engagement function at Hikka Tranz hotel on 10th December 2025.
The service provided by the staff including Kaveesha from Banquet and Siumika from the bar were exceptional. Food was top quality and the environment was ideal for a serene and charming function.
Overall, it was definitely a five star experience and loved every moment of it.

Barman Viraj is the best, absolutely loved he’s service!

Excellent service at the pool bar. Viraj and Janaica are friendly, professional, and make great cocktails. Kumata, Ravines, and Hiruni are always helpful, attentive, and create a relaxed atmosphere. The whole team makes the pool bar a great place to enjoy and unwind.

The hotel was good and service excelent. Food really good and we enjoyed the beach and feeding turtles seeing baby sharks. Good experience.

It was really a blessing staying in Hikka Tranz. After checking ,the bell desk boys THATHSARA & PUBUDU helped us a lot . They are very helpful & friendly. And also efficient doing their jobs .
The whole experience made our stay a pleasant one . We enjoyed the beach and the pool .

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the amazing staff. A special thank you to Ms. Dilakshi at the reception for her kindness and support. The location is beautiful, and the hotel is extremely kid-friendly—our 2-year-old had so much fun and truly enjoyed every moment.

The room was spacious, clean, and very well maintained. The food was absolutely superb, with a wide variety and incredible taste—truly beyond words.

This was our third stay at a Cinnamon Hotel, and once again they exceeded our expectations with their genuine Sri Lankan hospitality, excellent service, and outstanding food. We had a relaxing and memorable stay as a family. Highly recommended!

It’s a large resort-style hotel with various activities available on-site.
The full board option is very convenient, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner served as buffet, offering a good variety of choices.
The outdoor swimming pool overlooks the beach and has direct access to it.
