So everything was ok the beds were comfy the room was clean but we called at 11pm and they said we had to buy an extra pillow…we have NEVER been in a hotel we’re u have to pay for 1 extra pillow the breakfast was average and we booked a connecting room and they said they couldn’t garrente we would get it when we booked 10 months before
“Good hotel for a budget trip. The lady at reception was nice and gave us an early check-in. However, the AC in our room was a bit noisy. The beach is not too far — you can walk there.”
Loved the hotel spotless rooms great guest service my only complaint is the complete lack of socket receptacles in the room for plug in of electrical appliances only 1 exists in entire room? Totally unsuitable for a variety of needs phone lap top charges etc
The hotel is very dated and the rooms have a strange smell (possibly due to their policy of allowing pets in the room).
The mattresses are very lumpy and very uncomfortable and I woke up with a sore back after a very bad night's sleep and I normally sleep without interuption. The pillows are thin and they only supply two, if you want more there is an extra charge (I have never heard of a hotel charge for supplying extra pillows in 30 years of visiting Thailand)
The televsions are small and the reception poor so it looks like you are watching TV through a snow storm. They are also boxed in so you can't access the HDMI inputs meaning that you can't plug in a laptop or other device, if you want to watch Netflix or other streaming services rather than Thai TV. The component input is exposed but has anyone used a component input this century or have a device that can connect to component inputs nowadays?
Car parking isn't on site and when the traffic is bad, it can take 10 minutes to get to (it is only a couple of minutes walk but obviously you have to get your car there in the first place)
I really hate trashing places and leaving bad reviews but this Ibis is by far the vey worst accor property in all of Asia. I’m an Accor D6, Platinum/Diamond member, Accor Shareholders Club, Accor+ and Signature member, so believe me what I’m telling you.The room was so dirty I cancelled most of my stay. They cut corners on everything. Be it on coffee to take away, be it on air conditioning. This was my absolutely last stay after 8 years I’ve been visiting Hua Hin and this place. First they didn’t maintain the shuttle bus to the city center, a valuable asset. Instead they prefer to let the bus stay idly on the parking lot . They apologized saying they don’t get enough staff. I always See 3 people at the reception, two playing on their cellphones. Put them into the shuttle. I am still waiting for my stay refund, considering seriously talking with Accor France about this more than neglected hotel.
Then ,breakfast is always crowded , food quality in general is super bad except for the fruit which they hardly replenish. Food was always cold to lukewarm. Even 15 minutes after they brought it out.
The location is at the very end of Hua Hin, there is nothing but a seven eleven and a 7 km march to the city center.
Look at my pictures and see how dirty and filthy the carpets and the hotel is in general. Look at the filthy upholstery in the restaurant.
Well, I’m out, don’t worry, you’ll never have to deal with discerning customers again.
Big,but big disappointment.
It had been a while since my last visit to ibis Hua Hin. This trip (check-in: February 1st, check-out: February 2nd, 2025) was a last-minute opportunity to use a travel voucher I'd purchased last year, before it expired on February 28th. The voucher price was a very reasonable 1,200 THB.
Hua Hin was bustling, primarily with European tourists and a contingent of young Korean footballers. Thai visitors were a rare sight. The staff, representing ORIGIN, were exceptionally welcoming, with warm smiles and attentive service.
As a Platinum member, I was pleasantly surprised with a complimentary upgrade to a Family Room. ibis Hua Hin seems to have a generous number of these rooms, making upgrades readily available even for standard ibis members.
Late check-out was granted without any hesitation, extending my stay until 3:00 PM, despite the hotel being fully booked.
Welcome drinks were provided, and I opted for two bottles of Singha beer.
Breakfast was included as part of the voucher package (room + breakfast).
My Accor Plus membership provided the usual discounts on food and beverages, up to 50%.
The room was well-maintained, though some signs of wear were noticeable, as expected with the hotel's age. The water pressure in the shower was a bit weak, but the hot, warm, and cold water options functioned perfectly.
The breakfast buffet met standard ibis expectations, with a daily Thai dish, rice, stir-fried noodles, salad, bread, and croissants.
In the late afternoon, a short stroll down a side street led directly to the beach. The weather was fantastic, the water clear, and the waves gentle – perfect for swimming.
Happy Hour was a bonus, running from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
For dinner, I ventured out to a nearby Korean BBQ restaurant. Lunch the following day, before departure, was at the hotel, where I again utilized my Accor Plus discount (excluding the already reasonably priced pizza, which had a 10% discount).
Overall, it was a delightful stay. The service was excellent, in true ORIGIN style – attentive and efficient. A truly happy holiday!
Pleasant solo trip here in Hua Hin. I was supposed to stay at So Hua Hin. But decided that driving 1 hour into town everything I wanted to be in central Hua Hin didn't make sense.
The room is clean and tidy and typical Ibis. I was upgraded as a Platinum member and got a nice platter of fruits as a welcome gift. Car park was not full during my stay and that allowed me to park near the entrance daily.
Hotel is very close to BluPort and you're essentially in the centre of Hua Hin. Breakfast is standard Ibis with no complains due to the pricing.
Overall a clean a good stay here at Ibis Hua Hin.
Dear Team,
This is Akkapol Kinbuangam and Ms. Kessaraporn Maranetara (My wife, email: kessaraporn.mar@gmail.com, Accor Gold).
We stayed at ibis Hotel Hua Hin on 16 Nov 2024 to 27 Nov 2024.
Please note: All staffs in Lobby and Restaurant are very good.
Restaurant : K. BOW TRAINEE (Sorry I can't remember all name, but I can tell - All the staffs in Lobby and Restaurant who served us are very good)
All of maids
Security guard (Old man)
Thank you so much.
Lovely hotel, we enjoyed it very much. Large room and good breakfast. There is access to the beach which is right next to the hotel. My only complaint was that we had ants in the room and on the balcony - the cleaner took care of it every day, but they came back the next day..
Great place to be stay
Good budget hotel, but too many guests with multiple pet dogs allowed in hotel. Accompanied by smell of dog in corridors.
Breakfast was very basic for the cost charged.
Breakfast buffet NOT RECOMMENDED. Hotel towels were worn and thread hanging off hand towels.Swimming pool closes every night by 7pm. Very disappointing 😞 The location is good to catch the buses back into town for markets.Only 15 Baht. Markets are good.
Good location bed softer than most in Thailand
We couldn’t make it on our flight to Thailand and tried to reschedule our stay at Ibis Hua Hin but they would not let us reschedule or get a credit for our stay so we lost the total amount we paid for our stay and did not receive any of our money back even though we could not check in. Terrible customer service and would not recommend.
Very nice and convenient. Clean rooms, but small.
Very good value for the money.
Free parking at the hotel! Very welcoming guard at parking lot.
Thanks
Very nice property. The breakfast buffet is an excellent selection of dishes. The staff are great.
We stayed here 5 years ago and enjoyed our stay back then so thought we would book a night here whilst we were in Hua Hin to see if anything had changed with the hotel and we were both a bit disappointed with the latest trip here.
The hotel was very busy compared to our last trip so felt very overwhelming, we didn't manage to get into the pool this time as too many people in there, the rooms were very basic and didn't sleep well due to how small the beds were and the air conditioning wasn't working very well as it was rather warm despite being on the lowest setting. Not much room in the shower either, bathroom felt very cramped.
We didn't find the hotel staff as friendly as last time we stayed either, we booked via Accor as we are loyal members and it seemed like the staff didn't understand how to use the system when giving us our welcome drink, or trying to use voucher on the app (which is for Accor members). Service was slow, and when we had food at the bar we felt like we were being watched by the staff as at the the time we were the only ones in the bar.
Don't think we will be returning unless improvements are made. There are much nicer hotels in the area for not much more money, that are not too busy.
We stayed 4 nights and it was enjoyable. The breakfast buffet is good, but not over the top. Your within walking distance to a 7/11 and a mini C for daily necessities. You’ll need transportation to get to shopping and downtown. We rented a small scooter and got around ok. There’s a place called Smile Scooter and Laundry a 4 minute walk south from the hotel. 200 Baht for rental a day. As far as the room it was quite small, but adequate. Ibis seems to be in a lot of places we like to go, so we will use them more. They are not too expensive
The staff were extremely unhelpful. Fire we were charged extra for the room, then we had to pay cash before we were able to receive some French fries in room service, and parking is miles away. The staff were very unhelpful. My strong advice is to stay well clear of this hotel in Hua Hin
