Pros:

Booked for three adults, charged 150 yuan for the roll out bed which is normal. Only provide free breakfast for two even it's show three on booking . The front desk is rude. They don't want to deal with third party booking. We stay in this hotel every time in town and never had problem before. Will move on next time in town.

The best hotel in Shaoguan
Pros:

Overall, this hotel is the best in Shaoguan in terms of service and location.
It is really value for money as you just have to pay a sum of less than USD100 for one night stay with breakfast. The view facing the river is fantastic, the condition of the hotel is acceptable though a bit aged, the service in the front desk is impressive, and there is a great variety of choices in the breakfast.
There is a government service centre in the lobby for giving free advice and information to travellers. A foot, neck and shoulder massage service is provided to hotel guests at a reasonable price ( around RMB80 to RMB200 ).
Besides, the best shopping mall in Shaoguan is located just by the side of the hotel.

Nice hotel but be aware of the breakfast surcharge

This is definitely the best hotel in Shaoguan, an inland city surrounded by mountains in Guangdong Province. I stayed there a few times on business but with my family this time, which exposed a problem -- the hotel's double rooms have two full beds only, instead of two queen beds, which is unusually common in China and therefore not really the problem; what made it a less pleasant stay this time was that each room only offered free breakfast for two people. I went with my mom and two children, both of my children had to pay for breakfast, which is quite unexpected as there is indication of it in the hotel description on expedia.
